A new physical modelling offering from AAS. Like clanging, banging and twanging? There might be something here for you.
Interesting interface, and a quick play with the demo suggests an unlimited palette of unusual impacts for starters.

Looks like a lot of fun.
I've been making sound with real metal tubes/bars/rods/plates lately and want to explore what I've learned through Physical Modeling.
Now that AAS have this out of their system, I hope they'll devote their undivided attention to updating Tassman! It sounds SO good but really needs an interface update, microtuning support, and better patch management/MIDI mapping.

I think this is a great way to put it. I thought I'd never see a new drum synth made and sold by AAS. They had all that technology implemented in Tassman and Collision (for Live), but nothing which would bring all that under the AAS banner.Winstontaneous wrote:

I can't wait to demo this beast.

I guess I'll be spending my evening demoing this! Looks very promising.
I must be going blind - I don't see this price anywhere.

Will demo this but like others here cant wait for Tassman 5 (eons in the making). Worth mentioning you can currently get Tassman 4 for $99 download http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2cus/Pro ... TM4.00-20E hell of a price.

Have you tried the microtune12 patch that was submitted into the userlib some time back? Works for me, but does only 12-notes-per-octave tunings..Winstontaneous wrote:...

But yeah, better automation support, UI handling and other goodies (multiple audio IO/ midi out) would be very welcome.
At least they're alive and kicking - nice to see them release something new!

I own Tasmann, haven't touched it for years, though...

Yes, I have tried the Duke MicroTune patch. I'm more interested in exploring things like sequencing/arpeggiating the harmonic series, or applying LaMonte Young just tunings. AAS' Lounge Lizard supports Scala .TUN files, so it's not unreasonable to ask them to add it to Tassman.tetsuneko wrote: Have you tried the microtune12 patch that was submitted into the userlib some time back? Back OT...Chromaphone's Coupling technology (capturing object interaction) looks intriguing. So do the Creative Drumkits, but I didn't see any mention of them when I skimmed the manual.
