Ubermod feature suggestion

Hi Sean,
Not sure if Ubermod will extend to flanging and phasing, but if so, a 'manual' control knob would be fantastic.

Normally chorus/flangers/phasers are controlled by LFO. A manual control would allow the user to create automation that matched the specific length of a passage of music in a song.
This is obviously different to standard tempo sync.
I believe some of the old MXR units had this.

Anyways, perhaps have a think about it.

I don't know why I just saw this today, but anyway...

The DELAY slider will allow the user to manually control flanging. The algorithm has about 16 samples of latency inherent with it, so it won't do "through-zero" with the dry signal. However, set MIX to 100% wet, put the algorithm into 8/16/32 tap mode, spread the taps out in time, and play with the DELAY slider, and the flanging will get pretty crazy. As the delay approaches zero, all the taps will get closer and closer together, which produces a strong comb filtering sound. Put the DELAY at zero, and the taps all have the same delay, resulting in a dramatic through zero effect.

Is there an ETA for UberMod?

No rush, I just need to know when to save my pennies

Cheers,
Nigel
I miss MindPrint. My TRIO needs a big brother.

The OSX version is feature complete, and seems to be free of major and moderate bugs. I'm working on the PC port today. So, pretty darned soon.

That's alright, it happens. I was beginning to think you didn't like me though ;)

Thanks for the quick tutorial, I'll be sure to try that out.

Cheers,
Dax.

I think the message might have been posted while I was traveling. It's weird - I was Googling UberMod yesterday, and your post came up. It seems like the sort of post I would want to answer somewhat quickly, as, well, I get to talk about a cool feature in ÜberMod. So sorry about the delayed reply!

Go to 8:15. Prolly already does this but wanted a reason to post. Thanks Sean, I know you'll get right on it :hihi:

Hello Sean, I wanted to know if it was possible to add a host sync to the "SlowRate" and "VibRate" knobs (1/4, 1/8, 1/16 etc...). Maybe it is too much work to do that but it would be awesome to sync these functions...
