OK. Just got this tonight at GC. About 1/2 the price listed in this link, and they said I didn't have to wait until Black Friday. Turns out it's a closeout, and they only had one. And I got it.

Been playing it all night. Looks great, plays great, sounds great.

Beautiful.

Thanksgiving indeed.

Cheers

The bass guitar has never interested/appealed to me, but this one has a *certain something* about it imo

RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

Seriously, never seen anything like it ever!

Nor had I, but it appeals to me muchly for some reason.

I like it.

Re Laguna, I'd be concerned about the neck. Every cheap guitar I've ever bought has had neck issues. Mostly warping it's not just the lesser known brand names. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer.

Re bass of unknown origin. Most likely a Kay. Kay is a brand that has been owned by lots of manufactuers most recently Cort. A buddy of mine had 30 Kay's of the craziest designs ever to be seen in pawn shops and mail orders. He sold the entire collection to a GC manager for 3k rougly 100 each which is prolly what he paid for them not including all the time he spent making them playable.

My next guitar is undecided, but after doing a little research, and listening, I like the sound of a 12 string guitar.
Here's an image of a guitar.

(If you want to buy it for me, feel free. I kid, I kid)

Anyways, I actually don't know how to play guitar and will be learning soon, so I don't want to get some $5000 guitar and wind up deciding I don't like playing guitar. Now I have fiddled with a few guitars before and enjoyed it enough that I am certain I will not drop playing guitar, which is why I am choosing to start with a 12 string instead of a 6. So what is a good 12string that is good quality and cheap.

Thanks!

Thought I'd test the LP waters with this 1996 Epi-- hope it sounds as good as it looks (although that can be readily fixed).

I LOVE that color!

I'm guessing you ordered it from ebay/similar?

Hibidy-- yeah, I didn't even know they made a green flame top until last night. I've never owned a Les Paul, and I know this isn't made in the USA, but damned if I didn't fall in love with this one at first sight. Now I've just gotta be patient and let the nice people ship it... eh, that'll just give me more time to think about mods. :)

Dude, I can remember the crap LP's of the 80'a but honestly not all LP's are evil.
