I am pretty sure I will. These things are of no/small importance (being a keyfile a dongle or whatever) to me and shouldn't be for anyone, if the product on offer is good like Mix Control!DNR Collaborative wrote:I think it would be best to just wait until future releases are available and then you can decide for yourself if you wish to participate.ZINO wrote:Because in my dictionary using a dongle is less enforcive and harsh than must having an e-mail address of a specific standard and my software being "close monitored", but that's just me....

Thank you for your support, and I am sure that by the time we release our new project, these small details will be ironed out appropriatelyZINO wrote:I am pretty sure I will. We will also be organizing a group buy period. We have included each user who has purchased since MixControl Pro's release and will announce the start of the group buy in the next day or two.

Steven, I think DNR and you have had a great approach since the beginning of the new course (not that dealing with Reason was bad, mind you
) and wish you success. I enjoy MixControl more that ever.
Sorry in advance for the OT.
Lotus, there are also technical reasons behind being opposed to dongles. There are various threads where this has been discussed in detail - it's not weird politics. I compromised on the E-Licenser as I'm a Cubase user as well, but will never (ever!) install any PACE/iLok stuff on my machine (I did). Won't go any further here as I don't want to hijack the thread.
Ooh yes, eventually I also bought Reaper for my laptop - losing or breaking the dongle is a nightmare, isn't it?

Guys, thank you all very much for the constant support and kind words, it does make a big difference, both to me as a new forum user and us as a entire companyAmon1973 wrote:Steven, I think DNR and you have had a great approach since the beginning of the new course (not that dealing with Reason was bad, mind you) and wish you success. Also, the group buy has been started officially HERE, and since we are running this for our first time, every little mention or link around the web really helps a lot!

DNR,
Just curious... I know you are busy with the group buy and such, but I am curious if there are plans for a more full-featured version of MCP in the future? Specifically, a deeper saturation and limiting section?
Good product!

I'm not entirely sure of the exact development roadmap, but additions to the limiter and the saturation modes are plannedvaisnava wrote:Just curious... As if it's not full-featured already. What other channel strip do you know that has more features? People could argue that it has TOO MANY features, I mean it's a channel strip after all. It's not meant to cover every processor need you may have.

Hi guys, I just wanted to mention something here about our possible solution to a few issues. The virus warning in the EXE version is bothersome, as it generates a lot of support requests to deal with, and we still haven't heard back from the anti-virus manufacturers. What we're considering is to:
1. Remove the EXE standalone version
2. Remove all copy protection altogether
3. Create separate full/demonstration versions
We think this will probably work best in the current state of MixControl's development for both our customers, as well as ourselves. We may also add the user's name to the interface, but as of right now we are looking to keep things as simple as possible.

GB went down fast... For this money, it's more than a steal. And I can say that, I'm with MixControl since the very first version (plus beta).

Yes it's moving quite nicely on it's own, but we need as much help spreading the word as we can getCompyfox wrote:GB went down fast... For this money, it's more than a steal. And I can say that, I'm with MixControl since the very first version (plus beta).
