I just sold it...I am honest! I understand your concern but not everyone is out to get someone especially at that price! I always sale through PayPal so you can buy securely with protection.cryophonik wrote:It's his first post, too. Hmmmmm.....abstractcats wrote:Hey guys, does this look a little suspicious?

Allow me to introduce myself because I would like to have a positive reputation here. I work professionally as a classical musician in the USA. I play viola in a symphony and synths interest me. Occasionally, I make impulse decisions to support developers and in this case I decided that I really did not need it. I usually use hardware and have many synths but some software also!

I got in touch with AAS and let them know that there were a bunch of us here who didn't get their emails. Hopefully, that will help.
I got mine now.
It's good that people are questioning the quick sale because you never know. However... even though he's relatively new to the forum, dsynth27 does already have some good feedback. If something like that ever comes up and you're not sure if it's legit, you can always contact the developer and say, hey this guy is selling such and such and I want to buy it from them, are they okay to sell. Or if you're REALLY not sure and don't want to risk it... don't!

Hm, it looks like I may be the only one... but I can't get this thing to work on my Core2 Quad running at 2.5mhz. I can maybe get a note or two out of it and then a crazy spike of cpu that won't stop until I change presets. Then the CPU backs down until I hit another couple of notes in succession. I'm not even trying to play with any polyphony. I've set voices to 2, but I can't get it to work for more than a second. What the hell?

Could be a host issue maybe? I found CPU usage quite moderate running Chromaphone inside Logic on an 8-core Mac 3 Ghz at a sample buffer of 128 with voices set to 16 and above.zerocrossing wrote:Hm, it looks like I may be the only one... but I can't get this thing to work on my Core2 Quad running at 2.5mhz. Maybe... but in the Mac requirements it says, "Ableton Live 8 or later" and I'm using 8.2.2. Perhaps I should try the latest Live... I've been avoiding an upgrade because everything is working. Other than that I have over all the requirements on the Windows side. They do stuff with Live so you'd think Live would be well tested.Sampleconstruct wrote:Could be a host issue maybe? Well, that was it. Going to the latest build of Live and other than a really annoyingly frequent drop out, it's working fine now. It does sound fantastic though.zerocrossing wrote:Maybe... but in the Mac requirements it says, "Ableton Live 8 or later" and I'm using 8.2.2. Perhaps I should try the latest Live... A bit of a warning: if you start messing with weird stuff while editing, you'll definitely want a limiter on this this thing's output. Ouch.
Awesome though.

I'm sure others already said this but... I find it odd that it's taken AAS this long to give Ableton/AAS Collision a VST skin and sell it as a separate product to people using other hosts. A nice little cash injection now though I guess.
I love their Analog and Electric instruments, but have barely used Collision in the two years since it came out. YMMV.
