Free VSTi Sampler : TX16Wx 0.9beta *update 11*

Hey Ecallio. Thank you for doing so much of the updating. However, I have not been able to get Tx16wx to load up at all in orion since v0.9.07.

I tested the latest drop (0.9.11) in the orion 8 demo, and it loaded fine, and seemed to play as expected. Can you test again?

Thanks Ecallio. It was my mistake. I had the bank & perfomance files from a beta previous in the same folder. I delted those files & rescanned. Everything is works as it should now.

Well, in truth, all older sound data should load in the later betas. I've tried to maintain data compatibility, so if that caused issues its still my fault. If you have any older sound data that refuses to load, could you send it to me? I'd like to check and see if I can fix the incompatibility.

At the risk of sounding really needy and all, how's the latest release working out for people? I've yet to see any new bug reports, which either means TX16Wx is now super-stable (ha!), or you my dear users are a little shy and silent and I must be patient... (so hard... must have bugs to fix...)

All jokes aside, please let me know (or remind me) of any issues you find. I'm eager to finally get the plugin out of beta.

Could there be a MIDI trigger to record new samples? Like....

(User Def'd Note) = Record Start
(Same User Def'd Note) OR Playback/Record Stop = Record Stop
Same User Def'd Note = Playback of sample.

This would add audio recording via your sampler to users of MIDI only sequencers. A mode to always playback (at whatever point is seeked in SPP) once recorded would be super duper awesome!

I would like to see implemented one day time stretch function, could use SoundTouch (open source), or dirac which are free.

I have a problem in Orion. When i save a project with TX16Wx in, i get a crash with windows trying to find the error .. which it doesn't .. ever..!

Even saving it as a template (Orion thingie) causes a crash.

DAW: Renoise 2.7.1

What i did was make a new performance, add a sample and add a start/end point after that a start/end loop point. I was testing the sampleedit options, when i got to trim the plugin blew up and took Renoise with it hehe.
I was playing a simple pattern in Renoise with only your sampler and 1 sample loaded in the sampler. Renoise gives me a msg telling i ran out of memory.

Meh... Orion demo does not save. Anything...
Just to be clear, saving _any_ content (non-tx-way) causes a crash in orion? Could be a quirk with getChunkFile impl...

I guess I'll have to somehow acquire a saving copy of orion...

Does this reproduce? I.e. happens all the time? Or with certains samples/steps?

Ok, weird. I managed to repro this, _some_... Seems trim could cause sample editor play to go out of bounds. Which does not explain how come it crashes that much... Then it stopped reproing... weird.
Anyhow, fixed one issue with trim, cannot get crashes anymore now. We'll have to hope it fixes the problem.

Ok, reproed. Just as I thought, issue with audioMasterGetChunkFile. And me. And docs being messy. In short, too small buffer on my end -> buffer overrun -> crash.

Also noticed that turning off "save samples in project" is not respected. Both issues fixed now. 1.01 bugfix release will be upcoming soon. Would be good with a couple more bugs though.

I want to commend you on a powerful plugin. Great loop options.

Any chance to make (all) compatible formats show up when browsing? I have many aiffs - it's only one click, but it's a clck I have to do almost every time when browsing - and often back again for wav. Granted, the menu does say 'Load Wave'.
