I hope Jo won't mind but I thought it would be more convenient to have all feature quests, ideas, etc. for new versions of M4 (after final has been released of course) and M5 in one thread instead of scattered around the whole forum. So here we go. Mine are atm:

- Full multicore processor support (for better performance on Multi-core systems)

- Tabs for Session windows (for a more convenient way to switch between multiple sessions)

- Frequency Modulation

- A current cpu load display popup when hovering with mouse over the CPU Meter

- Being able to catagorize/sort/regroup the effect and instruments lists in the "Choose Module" menu

- A more comprehensive Equalizer effect. And/or perhaps Low/Mid/High EQ buttons in every rack?

This is not intended to put any pressure on Jo, but to be helpful with ideas for future development of this great piece of software :)

If you have any, please post them here too.

Just a draft reply on some of your FRs:

Be sure i want this as much as you!
It's gonna be the top priority for M5.
That's a promise.
A current cpu load display popup when hovering with mouse over the CPU Meter
I'm note sure what you mean by this, but note that if you click the cpu meter you get the current load as a number instead of a bar graph.
Being able to catagorize/sort/regroup the effect and instruments lists in the "Choose Module" menu
All MU patches are sorted by their folders.
So you could regroup them in another folder structure if you want.

Did you checkout the EQs in the AD folder?

I like the meter bar actually, but sometimes I'd like to hover with my mouse pointer on that bar to see the precise measurement, so it would be nice to be able to see that output instead of the popup label called "CPU Meter" :)

I'd like to be able to quickly drag/drop/rename/ folders from within MULAB if that's possible. So that it doesn't have to alphabetically arranged and so it would even be possible to sort internal modules with external ones, for instance

Doh!! :dog: I totally have missed those! Why are they located there? What does "AD" even mean? Would it be possible to have them in a separate folder called "EQs"? Some things are a bit "hidden" still I guess.. Thanks!

The AD patches are created by AndreasD. He made a fantastic set of patches imho. Thanks again Andreas ;) Currently they're still located in a separate folder for patch management reasons while building up the M4 package. When M4 is released, they'll be merged in the main Factory sub-folders.

Am I invited to drop a feature request, without possessing a "real" licence?
Anyway, what I really miss is a better function to edit curves (e.g. pitch bend) by a small number of vector points instead editing a huge number of events in the list editor or redrawing them completely. (I compose/edit my songs without a midi controller.)

Apart from that: Nothing but more CPU-Power and a licence of M4 :-)

Nice weekend to you all.

As stated in a previous thread:

VST3 standard compliance

MT is an already nice environment as it is and helps a quick workflow, VST3 compatibility may be the icing on the cake!

In M4 you can actually do (most of) that. Select a folder/patch and drag/drop it into a rack slot. If you open that patch and select next patch, the next patch in that folder will be selected. Without the folder being part of the Mulab library.
Works as well for samples in MuDrum etc.

One tip if you rename or copy patches inside the library: delete the MuxPatchFileCache.MuData file in the relevant folders so that M4 can recognize your changes.

What would be the benefit of that?

Simple: I can use the VST3 plugins which are already avaliable, including but not limited to a synth plugin which I'm collaborating to develop , which is written with SDK 3.5.x from scratch...
