I strongly suggest Rob Papen's RP-Distort, a great multi-functional distortion plugin. Rob Papen customers get it for free until the end of the year.

Okay, since I have RP-Distort and Tonebooster's Time Machine, maybe I should limit myself to them for a while and learn them better.

I did actually end up using RP-Distort on the track I was working on and it got the sound I wanted.

I agree, it has the most pleasing sound to my ears.

Most pleasing sound for me too, but it eats a ridiculous amount of CPU power.
