Hi,

Rather than reawaken a stack of old threads, I figured I'd just start a new one.
Updates for EQuality, Compassion and EQuick out now, ready to download at dmgaudio.com.
Reports from testing are extremely positive. Here are the changes:

Changes, EQuality v1.15->v1.16, Compassion v1.04->v1.05 and EQuick v1.00->v1.01

EQuick/EQuality/Compassion
- Fixed textbox display, ProTools Mac RTAS.
- Fix crash when switching between DMGAudio plugins in ProTools using header menu.
- Fixed obscure potential crash bug.
- VST3 versions support presets.
- Fixed clip-light handling in ProTools.
- Fixed bug whereby host redraw would slow down when UI was open.
- Improved AudioSuite metering and processing.
- Enable Windows ProTools automation menu.
- Fixed issues relating to window resizing in ProTools.
- Added A/B Automation type preference.
- Always report zero latency when expired/hard bypassed.

EQuality/Compassion
- Can now right-click the A/B menu to toggle.

EQuick/EQuality
- Fixed bug where saving filter with 48db/oct (entered numerically) reloads as 42db/oct.
- Fixed bug whereby analyser could hide high-frequency spikes.

EQuality
- Fix Spec-analyser pops.

Compassion
- Clip/Limiter is now post M-S decode.
- Added Limiter pre/post parameter.
- Added Expander Threshold offset parameter.
- Fixed issue whereby Auto-release depended on manual release parameter.
|- Warning: This might change sessions where autorelease is used. If so,
|- set auto-release short time to match manual release time.
- Fixed bug whereby detectors would display incorrectly as Peak in detector graph.
- Reduced memory usage by 14MB/instance. Now 3.2MB/instance.
- Added Peak/Hold indicator for limiter gain reduction.

EQuick
- Exclude filters/notches when computing maximum gain while dragging.
- Ctrl+Alt+Click to delete all selected bands.
- Fix Band Type control in VST3.
- Added mousewheel-zoom to graph.
- Speed up mousewheel adjustment of filter slopes.
- Fixed Solo in Stereo Mode menu.

Next update will hopefully include AAX Native support too. And there's a new product on the way... but there'll be more on that on my blog later ;)

Big love!

Dave.

Closer might be that the new product is to EQuality what EQuality is to EQuick.
The plugs after that will be, as you say, to Compassion what EQuick is to EQuality. There need to be quite a few of 'em ;)

Could you make option to turn off that mousewheel zooming on equick? Eveytime I try to access Q, DB, or hz via mousewheel, it just zooms.. Pretty damn annoying. Also about analyzer. Med is too low, and fast is too fast. Something between of them, would be nice. Thank you.

Dave, still no word from Steinberg or no fix, on how to tell Cubendo not to show your vst2 versions but still allow the vst3 versions to appear?
thanks

I'm not convinced we'll get a reply. Advise that you just remove the VST2s.

Sorry not to have a better solution,

Dave.

Aaag. Thought I'd preffed the mousewheel zooming in. Not sure how that got through. Will fix.
Analyzer speeds, will investigate.

Cheers!

Thanks for the continued support with updates & features.
This is partly why your products & company are outstanding.

You can do that yourself, go into your VST Plugin options in the devices menu and go through the list and uncheck the boxes by the VST2 versions then they won't show up in the plug-in list. Just make sure the VST3 ones are checked.

Also, like Dave said, just move the VST2 versions out of your vst folder.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the updates.

Just wanted to let you know that the Compassion VST is still not working in Maschine (think I sent you a couple of emails about this a while back), both 332 and 64bit versions.

The plugin will load but is not getting the audio into it (Equality and EQuick VSTs and all AUs work fine in this aspect, just Compassion VST).

Appreciate that Maschine is not your biggest market and you're a busy fella but would be good if this could get sorted.

Cheers,

Alan

I know the above, that's what doesn't work. if you uncheck the vst2 versions. Close Cubendo and restart it the vst3 ones don't appear.
if I move the vst2 ones, old projects that used Equality won't find it.

thanks though.

Dave I keep forgetting to mention. your plugins installer on windows are by far my favourite......by far... one window, for all locations, no need to run installer more than once...... no unnecessary rtas stuff in my case.

I can confirm this......I think it is the workaround on the vst2 sidechaining technique.

Almost certainly. It won't kill me to include a no-sidechain VST2 version. I'll do that.

Ah fair enough, that's a job for steiny then to sort out. But I just remove or dont install the vst2 versions , just the vst3's tbh.
