Dark, cold, velvet, strange, warm, bright, subtile... It does it all. Why the hell did I wait that long before getting it!??
Now that you're finally asking, there's this plugin ...

Nah, just kidding. 8)

How do you find it compares to Redline?

Well, I still really like my Redline Reverb but ValhallaRoom is a level above in term of sonic quality I think. There's something in it that appeals more to my ears, I don't know what exactly it's kinda tough to define but I prefer ValhallaRoom. And there's much more control overall as well with all the different algorithms. Generally it is more greedy though, so the Redline Reverb will still be very usefull for projects where the power is an issue. I think they are making a killer combo in fact! But yeah, now I really feel my other reverb units are going to collect dust! :P

I purchased Razor while it was on sale and it sounds really wonderful with VR! Especially with the new mode. Thank you.

I just stumbled across the Valhalla soundcloud and the ÜberMod examples sound great. I got a glitch where soundcloud played the MS20 track along with ÜberBreaks, ÜberAcoustic and ÜberAliasing. It was (Über)- good stuff!

By the way, please keep the aliasing mode as a secret option if at all possible. :)

The aliasing bug has been fixed, I am sad to say. My guess is that there are plenty of free bitcrushers out there that will do a better job at making this sound than the buggy ÜberMod mode.

Yes totally. I want my reverb creamy and buttery, not to sound like a cheap bit crusher!

Well, ValhallaRoom is intended to sound creamy and buttery. ÜberMod can sound classy and smooth, or nasty, dirty and cheap, depending on how you set things.

BTW, here's an example of the nonlinear reverb sounds that ÜberMod can get:

I'm messing with the Slope control, to smoothly transition from exponential decays, to a flat sustained "gated" reverb, to a "reverse" reverb that fades in.

 Hey! It totally sounds like an expensive bit crusher! :)

From the demos it seems like there are going to be tons of more interesting things to do to sound, but there was something I enjoyed about that aliasing.

There is no ÜberMod thread yet so I'll post it here (I already posted it in the Diva thread) :)

Diva through ÜberMod with a very lush ensemble setting: http://soundcloud.com/bronto-scorpio/uberdiva-pad

I love it!

Another Valhalla ÜberMod example :)
This time U-He ACE through a weird, tempo synced delay/reverb setting.

I just strap Valhalla on the back of a reverb bus. Can this do something more exciting?

Great job on all your plugins Sean! I read the descriptions and I was thinking something else. It would be cool to see the bode shifter algo make it into a dedicated reverb unit, with the ability to tempo sync beat frequencies. Something like that would save me a bunch of time. I gotta check this reverb out soon.

Here is a small, pointless ValhallaRoom video I made:
http://vimeo.com/33649692

Just switching through some presets and tweaking some knobs/sliders here and there. The source sound is a Zebra sound which gets sequenced by Reaktor.
I hope you like it

It has already it's own thread (http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4760119) but I thought I should post it here too :)

Cheers

A bit tiring to listen to the same synth loop... but Valhalla Room seems to be great! :)

I played a bit with the demo early on today.. thx to you Dennis :hihi:

BTW... about the clip... OMG, didn't knew Valhalla Shimmer would sound so lovely!
Gonna get the demo right now! :)
