Hello Earthlings!

Anyone tried loopy 2 with MIDI already?
I just downloaded the update but still waiting for my iRig Midi + Behringer fcb 1010 to try this sucka out properly.

Was wondering if anyone had experience with using loopy 2 with a floorboard controller and how well did it do???

Info much appreciated and I will add my rides two once my bloody order comes through.

One!

I just tried using Live as the clock source. Loopy starts, stops and follows the tempo pretty well (using wire midi with an io dock).

There are some glitches with the now pointer for each clip once in a while, but it seems only visual as the output seems fine.

Then I tried some binding, select next/prev track, mute toggle, and it does record the binding, but nothing happens.
I don't see any track being more or less selected than another and the mute toggle doesn't do anything.
I may have to check the manual after all.

I'm already happy with the midi clock working as I have all my gear synced from my laptop, but being able to use a foot switch to start/stop a recording would be really nice.

EDIT:

Indeed I had to read the manual. To make the binding work you have to click the input port so it shows a checked mark.
Now I can clearly see which track is selected and the mute binding is now working as it should.

This is very cool. You can make the binding for the current selected track or for a specific one.
Pretty much anything can be controlled this way via midi.

Now Live is there only to host my plugs and deal with the midi routing (with a big help from Bidule controlled from another iPad) , but to record stuff on the fly that will be Loopy's job. 8)

But now I need a third ipad to play animoog
