Not sure if there's any truth to it, but this blog says that the expected price is $99:

I asked Angus this per mail and he said that a) a drum synth inside Geist is still something that is "likely" to happen "eventually" and that b) Tremor will be "deep", too deep to put it inside of Geist. That doesn't sound too bad IMO, neither for the future of Geist nor for what to expect of Tremor. I doubt FXpansion releases your average drum synth. From the FAQ it's apparent that they'll do some thorough modelling once again.Peevy2000 wrote: +1 I'm a bit pissed at this too, because I definitely recall someone at Fxpansion saying they'd have synthesis in Geist at some point. Maybe they still plan on doing it.
And maybe the development of Tremor will give them insight on how to best integrate a drum synth (think "Tremor light") into Geist, so let's wait and see what Tremor brings.

Well if that's the case that sounds fine to me. I've actually been on the look out for a drum synth. I have Drumaxx which is pretty good but I think you can be more precise with Microtonic which I was considering buying. But now I here about Tremor, I'm not sure what to do. Get Tremor or wait to see what the synthesis will be like in Geist?? I suppose the Tremor Demo will help make my mind up.paterpeter wrote:I asked Angus this per mail and he said that a) a drum synth inside Geist is still something that is "likely" to happen "eventually" and that b) Tremor will be "deep", too deep to put it inside of Geist. I would not say I am pissed... but it is unlikely I will buy the new software without it being integrated into Geist... I don't want 2 apps with duplicate functionality. I am basically happy with the ability of my various synths to make drum sounds anyway, but would certainly have paid the same price for an integrated drum synth in Geist... just my 2 centsPeevy2000 wrote:+1 I'm a bit pissed at this too, because I definitely recall someone at Fxpansion saying they'd have synthesis in Geist at some point. too bad... but good luck with the product and count me out... I wanted it in Geist with nifty sampling optionspaterpeter wrote:I asked Angus this per mail and he said that a) a drum synth inside Geist is still something that is "likely" to happen "eventually" and that b) Tremor will be "deep", too deep to put it inside of Geist. I for one am glad that it's separate. I have no use for a sampler, but a new drum synth is something I would check out. Though they would have to match the versatility of Logic's Ultrabeat (being able to change parameters for every seperate note you enter) for me to take any real interest.

Same here. I have BFD2 (and Eco) and DCAM SS, but I owned and sold both Guru and Geist because they just didn't do it for me. But I'm definitely interested to see what a drum synth like Tremor brings to the table, particularly if it is based on DCAM and if it's really only $99.JD Gaffe wrote:I for one am glad that it's separate. It was... originally in DR-008DrGonzo wrote:Yes - but when Fxpansion is behind it - I'm interested. But I do agree with pdxindy. Would rather see both integrated into one product.ATS wrote:too many of these things already imo.
but they dropped that like a bad habit to move onto GURU... which they dropped and moved on to Geist... etc

I think it would be great to sell it both separate and integrated... we can both have what we want then!JD Gaffe wrote:I for one am glad that it's separate. Personally I think its great news. My opinion is that its always better to have focused tools that you can master rather than overbloated one-does-all applications. Bring it on fxpansion, cant wait!!!

fxpansion (DCAM Synth Squad) has the most unique and effective modulation system I've used, so much so that I can't even use other synths anymore. Point being; they could release the most unoriginal plugin out there, but with their Transmod system, I'd pepper spray somebody to get it. And Angus mentioned that it would be implemented into Tremor.re_mute wrote:

I can understand people wanting synthesis in geist, but writing off tremor before it drops seems a little premature...
Fx dont do instruments by halves in my opinion, and anything they do is worth looking at...
