-Nicely done beat! Great sounding drums!

1pt: Bogucha - Ucha Boga
-Very reminiscent of JMJ to me. Liked it!

Here are my votes:

V'ger - Son of a gun : 5 Points

As already mention on soundcloud -> this is an absolutely cool mastered track!
Wonderful melos, nice sounds and a very complex arrangement, too! Obviously, this is my number 1 this month ;)

Soul State - Modular Life : 4 Points

Wow... this is what I call "high energy/epic trance"... I tried to do something like this a few times, but I never felt like I've done it just as well as you did! Really complex arrangement in here, too! And a very cool sounddesign... clear and varied sounds in here!! I love it...!
The only thing that breaks my enthusiasm a bit is the last quarter of the track... it's a bit too long, in my opinion. Anyway, it's clearly my number 2!!!

Totolitoto - Sadness and anger in Robotville : 3 Points

Here, the mastering is also superb! Very thick, but clear!
There's a nice mix of styles: Electro, Bigbeat, Dubstep... what can I say, you did a great job... this is definitely unique! And what flashes me everytime I hear your track, is that absolute heavy climax at the end of your track - fantastic! I like it alot...

Yeager - Meandering : 2 Points

Man Yeager... you've got a really nice taste for positive and dreamy melos!
Your track makes me feel very comfortable! So thank you for that and keep it up! I'm looking forward to see what you're going to do with diva! ;)

Bzur - Bzurred Vision : 1 Points

You've got a nice taste on individual sounds and slightly crazy melos, I think! And "Bzurred Vision" has a slightly crazy but cool melo, that reminds me on spy-themes, which I like alot... so, that's why your work is my number 5! ;)

Two tracks which diserve credit:

Stonail - Dark Matter Pills
Ucha Boga - Bogucha

-> Very interesting and well done tracks!!!

...so, there are my profound thoughts :hihi:

have fun on diva, too!

Another very impressive set of submissions. I had a very hard time getting it down from a shortlist of nine.

Totolitoto - Sadness and anger in robotville - 5 pts
Great start, some very clever sound design. Really like the bit at 1:08. The ending is excellent, and the track fits its name really well.

V'ger - Son of a Gun - 4 pts
Very impressively put together, love the way this slowly builds. Some really great sounds and production ideas.

SoulState - Modular Life - 3 pts
A real epic and loads of great ideas in here, although perhaps could have been trimmed down slightly as it loses a bit of interest towards the end.

Yeager - Meandering - 2 pts
Nice song, with good choice of sounds and arrangement. Great melody coming in at 1:10.

Thrax - Deep Space Module_31 - 1 pt
Liked the moody atmospheric beginning, another very well put together track. Some really good sounds in there.

Honourable mentions:

Mike777 - Seekers of Truth and Light
I didn't initially like this one, but it grew on me after repeated listens. I like the melody and the structure of the song. Feels like it could do with a few more sounds/parts to really finish it off.

bzur - bzurred vision
Another very well put together track. Some of the sound choices are quirky, but it works well and an enjoyable listen. Love the descending bass line at 1:00, and some nice chord progressions around 1:50.

Karten - holograp
Nice and gentle track, good bass line. Gated sound that comes in at 2:00 is perhaps a little too harsh sounding, but overall a very nice mellow listen.

Bjulin - Rocket Launch Takeoff
Another really nice track. Only thing that put me off was perhaps the overly throbbing pad throughout. Great groove though and some nice sounds in there.

These are my votes:

5 - V'ger - Sun of a gun
Excellent Compostion, with lots of variation and. Great Mix and well designed sounds.

4 - Stonail - Dark Matter Pills
Excellent one, makes me nod head. good slow down in the mid and many jungle animals (not elements), also a nice outro.

3 - Totolito - Sadness and Anger in Robotville
I like the Synth Stabs and the wobbling Bass sound, there are also good breaks. Good built up towards the end. I just wished it would have been in a more darker mood, like the Beats from your album, which I really like.

2 - bzur - bzurred vision
kind of a sci-fied track, then turns to 70ies, and back to a more movie kind of mood. nice percussions bolsters it.

1 - Rudi Rena - Inside the Machine
I think it's not the avarage composition. However, theres a bunch of different sounds and a lot of effort in sounddesign, as far as i can estimate.

I also took notes to these Tracks, sadly there are no more points left.

Gorgorgathor - Sonigen Off Again: This is a funny Track, the synth lead you are using reminds me on older turkish films and it gots that Bambaata Beat.

Bogucha - Ucha Boga: nice space fx, the lfos bouncin, its a pity thats its just a brief track. More plz.

pchor - Frosted it remains: has nice stab on the one, good beat, The composition could have been a bit fuller, more Arp elements for example.

? - Deep Space Module - This deep comb filtered Voice sound is cool, I dont like the Kick on this one it's a bit Muddy, and suppresses the rest of the instruments. It could have been better if you'd lowered the Volume of it a bit.

Thx for all your comments and points, makes me really happy, that u liked the Beat :D check also the wah guitar in the 3rd part, maybe u like it

Peace

I see Kraftraum has already uploaded his patches there too, hope more will have time to.

There were a lot of songs I liked in the lineup. AAMOF there were three others vying for the top 5 in my list. It was really tough for me. But I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard. So if I am spreading the points around it looks a lot like:

5 - Bzur - Bzurred Vision
- My only complaint is that I wish it had continued a bit longer.

4 - Soulstate - Modular Life
- This has gotten the most replays out of the bunch. I can't say I'm a fan of the genre really but I can say that I liked this little tune quite a bit this week.

3 - Stonail - Dark Matter Pills
- I liked how the sounds played so well together. Even though I probably wouldn't have thought so if I heard them on their own. Nicely done.

2 - Vger - Son Of A Gun
- Aptly titled. This one and Bzurred Vision are the type of stuff that I really like to listen to all day while I work.

1 - Totolitoto - Sadness And Anger In Robotville
- I sooo liked this tune. It got a lot of plays this week so I had to include it in the top 5. The hard part was where to put it.

Thanks a lot folks for participating! I heard quite a few things that I really liked. Good luck to all of you!

My votes:

3 - Ruedirena - Inside The Machine
2 - Gorgorgathgorgorgor - Sonigen Off Again
1 - Bjulin - Rocket Launch TakeOff

First of all thanks for the votes :) .

Here is my :

5 pts------> Totolitoto - Sadness And Anger In Robotville
4 pts------> Bzur - Bzurred Vision
3 pts------> Karten - holograp
2 pts------> Rudi Rena - Inside the Machine
1 pt-------> V'ger - Son of a Gun

Like these too but sadly out of points :

Kraftraum - Rotation 1
Acronym - Boom Bap
Gorgorgathgorgorgor - Sonigen Off Again
pchor - Frosted it Remains
Soulstate - Modular Life

Great synth.
Remarkable artists.
Impressive tracks.

Post

pchor - Frosted It Remains
Good chillout track, maybe a bit too chilly for our taste.

alphuris - in a rush
Some great ideas in the mix mainly the second part. Lacks a bit of strength in the bass frequencies.

Kraftraum - Rotation 1
This is so fat sounding! What more can we say?

V'ger - Son of a Gun
Typical V'ger track. Exquisitly mixed and outstanding sounds and a very nice composition.

Acronym - Boom Bap
It rocks. Definetly on our shortlist. And that vinyl effect. We are jealous of that.

SoulState - Modular Life
The most powerful track this month. Great mix. We are shure it works in a club, a bit too long for home listening. Shortlist though.

Totolitoto - Sadness and anger in Robotville
Very interesting, good sounds, especially the wobbling bass and a great climax. Shortlisted, definetly.

Stonail - Dark matter pills
Killer track! All those nicely balanced details and small sound bits!

Yeager - Meandering
We can see why you called it Meandering. Nice one, arpeggios and all.

Thrax - Deep Space Module 31
Rocking kick drum, maybe a bit too repetitive for our taste.

Bogucha - Ucha Boga
A quality work, but too short. Just at the moment when we expected it to build a climax you ended the track. Nevertheless it's on the shortlist.

Key88 - TankingTurkey
Craziest track of the whole bunch. To be honest, we couldn't stand it every time we had a listening session. Something for those special hours ;-).

Gorgorgathgorgorgor - Sonigen Off Again
Another signature track. It's pure Gorgor and it sticks to the brain somehow. Goes to our shortlist.

JJ Biener - Enigmatic 2
This track creates a very calm and relaxed atmosphere with beautiful patches. It is a pity that it somehow lacks development and musical ideas.

Bjulin - Rocket Launch TakeOff
Another very powerful sounding track on our shortlist. After numerous listening sessions we think that sidechained pad sound is a bit too prominent in the mix.

Mike777 - Seekers of Truth and Light
The melody in the beginning sounds familiar from first listening, which is good. Nice arpeggios and a well thought out thread leads through the track. Very nice.

bzur - bzurred vision
A bag of things to learn from: patches, mix, musical ideas. Though this month's track doesn't sound as 'all of a piece' as your previous submissions it easily made our shortlist.

Karten - Holograp
A good one. Calm with some nicely mixed original patches, shortlist.

And here are our winners:

Stonail - Dark matter pills: 5 points
V'ger - Son of a Gun: 4 points
Kraftraum - Rotation 1: 3 points
Mike777 - Seekers of Truth and Light: 2 points
Yeager - Meandering: 1 point

It is kind of a stereotype here, but this 'you have five points to vote' is sometimes a pain in the ass. This time some really entertaining and well crafted tunes go without points. We are sorry!

We are not shure if we can make the Diva contest as Rena is on wellness holidays and Ruedi has got a lot of work to do this month. There may be time for a quick and dirty one though.

Cheers

My votes are as follows:

5pts Totolitoto - Sadness and anger in Robotville
Love the bass and the lush pads throughout the track.

4pts Stonail - Dark matter pills
The filters, resonance and whatever magic you did on the bass are amazing. Diry pads and nicely placed ornaments make place this track in my top 5.

3pts Bjulin - Rocket Launch TakeOff
Love the track, nice chord progression.

2pts Yeager - Meandering
Nice synth pop like track which just sounds right.

1pt JJ Biener - Enigmatic
Slow and dark and atmospheric.

Voting has been a serious challenge. The quality of music produced this month is truly outstanding. Since I can only pick 5, I have to narrow it down to the following

V'ger - Son of a Gun 5pts
Yeager - Meandering 4pts
Kraftraum - Rotation 1 3pts
Totolitoto - Sadness and anger in Robotville 2pts
Deep Space Module 1pt

I am still debating on whether to enter the Diva contest, but I figure I still have time. I am looking forward to what you guys do with Diva. I am sure you won't disappoint.

Post

Hi everyone. At last i got some time to make my votes, and i wanted to be the first to do it (my balls lol)
Secondly, impressive and quality amount of tracks this month, as usually.

Special Mentions to (without any specified order)
  • Bzur - Bzurred Vision
    Yeager - Meandering
    Pchor - Frosted It Remains
    Bjulin - Rocket Launch Takeoff
    Acronym - Boom Bap
Totolitoto - Sadness and Anger in Robotville
RuediRena - Inside The Machine (Part I-VII)
    Karten - Holograp
Sorry for not droping comments, but i don't know what the hell is going on with my life lately but i can't find free time for anything. And i'm still desemployed (lol)

Here goes my winners with some quick comments:
  • 1) - Mike777 - Seekers of Truth and Light - 5 Points
Althougt the first part it wasn't too interesting at all, the chords part touched my heart, totally, and i can't say nothing more about it. Take my 5 points, you worth it. The part from 0:52 to 2:10 it's total LOVE. And pretty impressed why nobody dropped a comment in that SoundCloud part. To me is a total piece of art. Cheers for the track, i can't stop listening that part in loop.

    2) - Stonail - Dark Matter Pills - 4 Points
This man can extract all the juice from the synth, and did it in a great way. Since i don't get good with modular synths, i'm very impressed with the work Stonail did so i can value that overall. I love everything in this track, except the last part which it's a bit less worked. Following this man, he really worth it.

    3) - Soulstate - Modular Life - 3 Points
The half part it's totally amazing, it's a great composition, very well worked and arranged energic trance track. Absolutely worth a listen. A bit long in length anyway (so a bit repetitive). Advice: "Longer doesn't means better".
As i said in SoundCloud comments, try to compress the idea, try to not being repetitive and much less in a 10 minutes track.

    4) - V'ger - Son of a Gun - 2 Points
As usually, here, we can hear the main ID of V'ger in each of his tracks. Amazing ambient track, nice composition and use of sounds, mostly textures and pads. I'm wondering yet why that title and what V'ger has in his mind.

    5) - Gorgorgath - Sonigen Off Again - 1 Point
After listening, somedays later, with some freshness in my ears, the charismatic melody, the growl bassline and detuned pads gave the chance to Mr.Knutson (with K this time) to get my first OSC point for him.
Keep up the good mind worms work. In this way i think, sticked to brain melodies, you are unbeatable, man. Have this in mind.
Sorry for not having more points for the others, you all already know how difficult is this.

Nothing more to say and also i don't have enough time.
Have a good Christmas days and good luck! :)
