Would you still buy Reaper if it will cost you as much as the other DAWs ?

But then you would only be able to see the track, not the items on that track but i guess it would be useful.

As a user i say: Why not ? But the programmer in me says: Hell no! That's ugly and just plain wrong. So i can understand why they won't do that.

Actually i don't listen to Elton John,i think he's dreadful. I was experimenting with something and needed a long track name and that was the first thing that popped in my mind. It works in mysterious ways.

Actually, you are correct. Having the TCP there makes little sense. When I was fiddling with the new interface I was trying to get the transport there and have a horizontal keyboard across the top. I wanted to do things with strictly the capabilities in the default GUI. Anyhow, For some reason, I can't remember the discussion now, I thought there was a reason the default tool set was etched in stone at that location. But, my brain is ignoring my request for info.

I think I know why Reaper is full of options and customizations, they want the user to do the dirty work to make something more useful out of a Chinese menu.
Why spend time in creating a user friendly interface simply efficient and effective workflow (because probably they lost the way to it by focusing to add to the kitchen basket. Here! This is the knife, pots and vegetables. Chop it and cook it yourself. BUT I thought a was in a 5 Star restaurant! Nope! $60 it is just a buffet. Just Kidding or... maybe not

Same really, Along with a barage of well meening users mentioning it so often. I did/do have the super cheapo bastard v0.9.99 beta/last 'free' version somewhere which was alright but not until late v3 did i eventually think it would be a good buy, I still have not scratched the surface with it or used it to work on anything due to old habits and would love some time to get more into it. That time will come eventually. Curiosity killed this cat

Regarding the question would i pay more for it than i did do if it were priced higher? I do not know as of the above mentioned reason

Do i think it is excellent value for money? Hell yes

If i were not so stuck in my ways and just starting out then i would probably be using REAPER instead of what i am so used to, I would not ever want to do without Ableton Live though so it would be a combo of both

Can i borrow anyone's free time to try out aload of things that i would like to? Please

All the best to all :)

That's a plus for me. Given a choice between a DAW fighting me and being restrictive, or being able to get tweaky, I'll choose the latter.

Then I suggest Max for Live rather then Reaper for Life :hihi:

So now we know why Reaper and Ikea are both so cheap.

f**k, I take a nap and this thing is just at a near standstill :x

You ba...'s lost me 10 bucks and now you are going to stop????????????????????????? :x :tantrum:

This topic became a TechSupp between Reaper and Cubase: the most frustrated users in the DAWs world. So if you pay $60 or $500 you get the same problems.
The thing is that most of them use both :-o = Double problems for $560.
Go figure!
