Damn! I really want this NOW
My G.A.S. was cured for months now but sadly I have an obsession with drum machines
Cheers

You're supposed to be in a darkened room spending your days making wonderous patches for Tremor... not surfin kvr discovering your pictures!!7Skies wrote:What s my picture doing on KVR

I'm sure it will be a superb instrument... I have a vast arsenal of drum synthesis already... that is why I am unlikely to purchase any more. Tremor has 8 engines, step sequencing... I already have that in Geist and do not find it appealing to duplicate what I already have in separate products which adds complexity... but hey, it is no big deal if it does not interest me (am just 1 person) and maybe fxpansion will have some nifty integration with Geist at some point!dredd i knight wrote:I can understand people wanting synthesis in geist, but writing off tremor before it drops seems a little premature...
Fx dont do instruments by halves in my opinion, and anything they do is worth looking at...

It's a shame really. I was just gonna get Big F****ng Drums (not official name).
Eco style.
And a couple of expansion packs.
Then they teased me with Synth Squad (http://www.google.co.uk/search?client=o ... el=suggest)
Now this?
I'm having trouble deciding.

I wasn't aiming that comment at youpdxindy wrote:I'm sure it will be a superb instrument... I have a vast arsenal of drum synthesis already... that is why I am unlikely to purchase any more. I was talking more about the initial responses in general.
I think a few more screen shots would show my point better... The pic in CM shows how deep it is: putting something this complex into geist would have been a mistake IMO... Geist is already the most complex of my drum synths..

Perhaps you are right... but I don't see how having it as a separate product is less complex for Geist users. What I mean is, how is it easier as 2 applications? I completely understand having it as a separate product for those who do not want Geist, but for those with Geist, having it integrated is inherently simpler.

That's where we disagree you see... I think that there's always a pay-off between complexity and workflow. Right now Geist is well balanced; I would enjoy seeing it gain some synthesis features, but what Tremor looks to be bringing to the table is far more than a few synthesis options... It's a Dcam based circuit modelled, transmod modulation beast! That's why it makes sense to me to have its separate.... Also i think the price point for it is good; there was a lot of fuss when Geist came out at its price point... If you want a sampler and MPC type flow, spring for Geist, if its synth beats then tremor, if both then get both, and the overlap in terms of engines, step sequencing etc just means a quicker learning curve....pdxindy wrote:
