I think the patterns have been well established here as far as the announcements about his FX. They are all SE and they are often shrouded in a lot of vague claims that he never seems to show up to clarify. Some, maybe not most, seem to have some kind of "revolutionary" capability, or they are somehow effortless to use while delivering outstanding results. Anything's possible, but the flim flam alarms go off right away based on marketing patterns like these, and thus there is a feeding frenzy that can take place very readily.

Anybody ever think the right thing to do if you are not interested in his stuff is to not bother with the thread ?
And for the record this doesn't just happen to this guy, it has happened to a few new devs recently as well

Wow, this thread got serious overnite. OK, let's try then:
Me jumping on stuff like that is some kinda Round Robin ehhhh Hood thing. I would think that it's not funny if some beginner kiddies would think that even one of his claims does seriously hold up to reality by more than 5.3%.
And yes, he has a history of BS marketing, not answering serious questions about his products, of not releasing demo versions while at the same time he has promised them to be available at his website, not talking about being an award winning producer, etc, etc. This is dodgy if not worse.
See it as you like, I think this is not funny or to be taken seriously. This has to be warned of. IF this new plugin is really what it claims which will be easily verified with a demo plugin I'll buy one for myself and one for somebody else and praise it and him for doing such a great thing.
But if he doesn't deliver I think it's just right to warn people about this as it seems to be snake oil then. And I hate snake oil and I hate it if people try to make a business out of selling snake oil.

But if people are claiming things that are easily to be verified IF demoed and somebody doesn't deliver then what's your problem with people who are talking about that? At all this is a forum about these things. If you think that it's not ok to warn people about potentially false claims then I simply don't share your POV. Peace.

I tend to agree that aggressive marketing claims need to be backed up better than this developer has done, or they are worthy of serious scrutiny and criticism. As I said before, this isn't the first situation like this with this developer.
I felt a bit differently about the dev who had the magical level fader/attenuator doohickey which was supposed to do incredibly smooth volume fades. That was the first time that dev showed up here and he or she was mercilessly attacked and discredited by sort of a wild eyed vigilante mob. I thought they reacted too harshly to an unknown developer based solely on thier impression that his claims sounded bogus to their ears.

His pattern has been to make aggressive claims without demos or technical explanations that really make much sense. That's 75% of why he is getting attacked in this thread.
