But at that price, wouldn't you want to buy it anyways??

Since logic is a "superior" DAW, there is no longer an excuse not to buy

Eee that's not trollin' lad. This is trollin'.

Given that the wideband effect of Reaper in the marketplace is to depress the sales volumes, and therefore the prices, of all major DAWs, you would have thought users of all other DAWs would boost Reaper, as a means of reducing the price of their preferred DAW.

Yes. But once you own a DAW, a price drop it's too late for you. You only need to think about updates cost which FL has ingeniously resolved.

No. Cubase is perhaps the best example of why not. At whatever point you purchase a copy of Cubase you are left permanently in need of a flow of upgrades. The only DAW which does not comply to this is Fruipy Loots, buy once forever free.

Well at least someone got a chuckle.

Come on LS, you know I'm just playin'

Besides, I admit.......I'm getting some of these mixed up :?

Actually I'm surprised that this thread is still alive after all the dust-ups, barstool clobbering and all that.... :hihi:

It's not that bad. I had posted an ibtl but then things got cool. There was one thing that was really stupid, but it's still not that bad yet. (key word being yet ;) )

It did help me tremendously! Now I know for me it's not worth to get back to Reaper after some demo trials in the recent past. I'm staying in Live/Reason and do my fast (very fast indeed) writing in MuLab which is coming out with v4 and being modular with one of the smoothest pianoroll in the Daw business :troll: solves all my writing problems. I'm going to rest the case and never look back.

Judging by personal experience, which granted isn't much, I would. Reaper has enough functionality that if you don't want to take advantage of custom actions and such, you don't have to, but if you want to you can and it will speed up your workflow.
I find that some things I take for granted in Reaper are not implemented or implemented in a less streamlined way in other DAWs. I had the example to get MBox micro: no audio recording? Rally? When I was just starting I trialed Mixcraft, which was little better than LMMS (a free program) except for the BPM matching; send tracks were odd and MIDI could not control other effects, like a MIDI controlled gate for example. FL Studio lacks some technical options like pre-fader sends. Logic (even though I could never get it because I use Windows) has a confusing send/bus track setup. All in all, Reaper seems to be the most efficient DAW at least for me personally.
