Haha, who told you Skrillex and Korn was meant to be musical in the first place?!!? :)
Why in the hell are you looking for musicallity in the charts of pop music!?

Skrillex made one or two killer tracks (sorry had to use the term) and he made history with his unique sound. I also hate his melodies and stuff, but man.. he can sound engineer a bass like no other I've heard. And he is still very young. I'll bet you can't produce that kind of sound even if you wanted to (you are welcome to show me otherwise). :)

Korn made some good tracks in the past, never really cared about their music though. But they got their special sound I guess. Not all artists can say that.

Now, I'm off making some of my own music. You should do the same. :)

Made history?

I doubt anyone will remember him in a few years.

Maybe if Skrillex wins a Grammy he can afford to buy some ProActive for his face...............

Korn invented crapstep.

hmmm. people keep playing skrillex for me and i keep asking, how the f**k is this dubstep? if dubstep is still some kind of music, (obviously people keep referring to it), why does everything people play for me this high pitched 4/4 trance on heroin crap? I heard some music a while ago that was reffered to as such and it seemed to make sense that it would be dubstep, because it SOUNDED like Jungle or other DUB music, slowed down, to a slowdance or TWOSTEP tempo, and it had all kinds of creative usage of effects and minor tempo changes...

but as this thread is a mile long, i'm sure my little outsider ramble will get lost. BTW, korn didn't like the music they made in the first place. A friend of mine dated a "family member". Davis, etc, they all listened to deathmetal. They did the korn thing cause they wanted to make MONEY. They're just trying to jump on the skrillex wagon. cheerios.

The only thing korn invented is bad lyrics

Btw the tracks from the new album don't sound much like dubstep to me anyway. Is this what Skrillex tracks sound like?
It's the sound Korn has done since they started making money with some heavy synth riffs thrown in.
Funny that they think they created a new genre with this...

Perhaps, they all brought something significantly different to the mix. I've heard this guy's stuff and it's not earth shattering or original in any way.

There's also been a ton of "this artist will be bigger than the Beatles" type comments about people who were forgotten 6 months later. I'm sure he's more likely to be in that category.

It's not bad, they certainly aren't ever going to do riff rock ever again.

They couldn't do it anyways since the one guitarist left.
