Just to update...

I spent 20 minutes listening to Sleigh Ride on hold and finally spoke to a rep at PayPal. I had opened a complaint there even though the 45 day period to do so is long over. Well ot still shows as a complaint against the seller. If enough people complain to show a pattern they will investigate and that will lock down Crysonics PayPal account while the investigation is being conducted.

The PayPal rep told me that their guarantee does not cover software or downloadable merchandise. But she did send an e-mail to Crysonic requesting that he respond to my questions and resolve the issue by this Friday. So far (as some might expect) there has been no reply.

I was provided with a website link to the South Australia governmental agency that might be the best place to file a complaint there.

Website: www.ocba.sa.gov.au

Can anyone find an address in Canada or been able to confirm their relocation there?

I'm on it. If they're in Canada, we'll soon know about it. I contacted the ACCC and they directed me to Industry Canada (www.ic.gc.ca), whom I have also sent a very detailed email to.

This clown from Crysonic has a twitter account so why don't we tweet about how we've all been scammed? Let's let the world know. There's a lot of strength in numbers.

Also discovered they registered their domain with Tucows in Toronto Canada.

They last updated their records in March of this year.

I'm gathering everything I can on this clown.

Update...I'm not going to post what I and others have been doing in case
you-know-who is lurking, but let's just say things are moving along smoothly and Liesonic may be getting a holiday 'surprise'... :)

Just a word of update. Today is the last day that PayPal gave him to reply to my request to resolve the issue. So far I have heard nothing back. I suggest that anyone who had the same experience, and if you paid with PayPal, file a complaint with PayPal soon. Even if the 45 day period is over and they don't cover downloadable items it will still show as a complaint against the seller. Enough complaints will cause and investigation and PayPal will suspend the account pending the outcome. If you used a credit card you can dispute the charges if the money has been taken and you have no product.

That will mean that he will not be able to keep doing this.

Has anyone received a download link for Spectralive 4? I got one answer back from him when I used a link on his site about getting advanced information on some stunning new product that is in development. I copied my PayPal receipt and asked him about the news that the product was released and I had no download link. He answered back that Spectralive 4 current release was for previous customers only. I wrote back pointing out that I was a previous customer, that was why he had been bombarding me with special Pre-order offers-- no answer.

So, has anyone gotten a download link for SL4?

I've been contacting different parties and PayPal is next on my list. Thanks for doing something Atomic Shadow. If we all do our part we can get results.

And no, I haven't received any link to S4.

OK.

Let's all meet back here tomorrow with torches and pitchforks.

Still no answer from PayPal's request that he contact me to resolve the issue.

We did warn you didn't we? Those guys have an almost criminal reputation here. Dare I say that they are considered lower than wares kiddies by many on this forum?

Those twats at twitter suspended an account I had where I was planning on messaging everyone of Liesonic's followers. I got to about a 100 and then I was suspended. I emailed the twats at twitter and informed them of the shit that Crysonic's been pulling and they haven't gotten back to me. Thing is, before I was suspended I received a message saying one dude re-tweeted my messages to 200 of his followers so hopefully it will create a snowball effect. I won't rest until they're finished.

Spamming, or organizing a spam campaign, would be a great way to get this thread (or your part in it) locked and possibly moved to a non-public area, get yourself banned from KVR, and discredit yourself and, by association, others. The increasing incivility is also contrary to the rules you agreed to when you signed up at KVR.

I strongly recommend you not continue to employ such tactics but stick strictly to legal, legitimate, non-sleazy ways of dealing with your complaints. Otherwise you will be doing harm to those you purport to want to help.

Yeah, that was a really dumb move Mr Voltz, I know you're pissed but this will only get you in trouble and make you look like the bad guy.

Would be really interesting to know more about the other side.

Just for the balance of things:
When the current bundle deal came up, I tried out the plugin demos and found some of them filling a gap here.
Someone linked to this thread from the bargain thread to warn people.
I read what everybody is saying about how horribly bad they are but I still liked Spectraphy on drums and it's not thaaat much money so after some thinking I bought them anyway.
Part of it was curiosity I guess ;-)

Got the download 45 minutes after the payment.
I installed them and sent an email with the authorization keys (only 4 of the 10 need authorization).
This took a little longer, but 23 hours later I had all the keys and was up and running without a hitch. The email contained an apology for the delay, stating that there are a lot of sales ATM.
Quite decent IMO.

So in my view:
Yes, some of the marketing is pretty much over the top, but somehow I find it funny... I would never pay the "original prices" anyway...

Yes, the plugins take a bit too much CPU, but they are still quite interesting, Sprectraphy has a great interface and is very intuitive, some of the others I'll definitely use as well for sounddesign...

Yes, some of the plugins come with no presets or only a handful (same as in the demoversions). This could certainly be improved...

But otherwise I'm not sure if a crusade is helpful.

Email is such a brittle form of communication.

Can't somebody from Toronto walk over and have a coffee and a chat with the guy? ;-)

And no I'm in no way related to Crysonic, I just found this pitchfork-and-tar- attitude here way over the top.

Peace,

Thomas

Sleazy? I guess it's just a great thing that Crysonic has ripped off countless customers right? And of course their spamming doesn't matter since they're just promoting their plugins I guess? Why is it that you threaten to lock a thread (which you've done in the past I've noticed) that is trying to achieve something good? Crysonic are CROOKS-it's pretty obvious isn't it? They've been doing this for years. I've read your replies and it doesn't seem like you care much. You seem to need evidence...Isn't 50 people across multiple forums saying they didn't receive a product enough evidence? Look around, Crysonic isn't exactly winning any customer service awards. Since they pull off their dirt on the internet, how else is one supposed to get the word out about this company? It's not like I can go into a store and confront them or get them on the phone. You can't call them and they don't answer emails. The best way to get the word out is online so why do you threaten to, or block the flow of information? Does Crysonic pay you? Why do you care about these scumbags? Do you get a piece of the shit pie that Crysonic is making? And tell me something, what is illegitimate about me trying to stop Crysonic from ripping off more people? Incivility? Crysonic deserves nothing but to be out of business-period. They are pulling off a scam. They don't deserve any courtesy, which is why they won't get any from me, or anyone else who's been conned.

I think everyone agrees with your sentiments but you are letting emotion drive your actions/words and this is a historically bad way to operate (doesn't usually end on a good note).
