Thanks!

I may subtly change Shimmer in the future, to add the preset browser as found in VRoom and ÜberMod. I think I can just move around some text on the bottom, to incorporate the preset "button" and arrows. ValhallaShimmer hasn't seen many revisions after it came out - it was refreshingly bug free, and it seems feature complete for what it does. Still, it would be good to update it, just to make sure that the code base is fresh for Lion and the upcoming Logic X.

ValhallaÜberMod has my favorite interface so far. It was what I was trying to get in VRoom, but didn't quite achieve. I like the balance of logo and tooltip text to controls (interestingly enough, ÜberMod has a similar balance to Shimmer in this regard). Visually, the logo for ValhallaRoom was necessary to balance out the tooltip space at the bottom of the plugin, but the "VALHALLA ROOM" text was a bit big. By moving the user name, company name and version number to the top of the ValhallaÜberMod GUI, I was able to have a smaller text size for the ValhallaÜberMod logo, and more room for the tooltips at the bottom of the GUI, while minimizing the "white space" in both cases.

Of course, there will still be plenty of people who hate the GUI style of the new plugin. I'm OK with that. :D

Purchased, didn't even have to try the demo. Now where's my reg key? :D

Please write a manual for this :(

The tooltips are useful to say what a knob does but they don't replace a manual. For example, the tooltip for the spread knob in the taps tab doesn't fully explain what it is doing. The knob's units are percent but percent of what? I presume the time of the delay but that is just an educated guess.

What about the diffusion knob? Again it is in percent but percent of what? If it set it to 50% am I adding half of whatever a full diffusion is? Am I diffusing 50% of my taps?

This looks like a really great plugin but I would like to see its instructions documented better. You're a knowledgable guy, please put that to use and write a good manual for this :)

+1 ... Just went through all the parameters, this plugin is deeeeeeep.... in a good way of course, but an in-depth manual definitely wouldn't hurt!

Another amazing plug-in, Sean. Will be buying this this weekend for sure.

Starting today (once I fill the orders that came in while I slept), I'll be putting up blog posts that explain things. Once these are all done, I'll put them together in a manual. ValhallaÜberMod is deep, which is why I put everything into tabs, instead of all on one layer - it makes things easier to explain and comprehend.

For now - explore! Obviously, having a deep understanding of the controls will be useful, but twisting knobs at random until you like the sound is a perfectly valid approach to sound design. I've spent many hours lost in the depths of some weird sound I stumbled across in ÜberMod. Some of the controls (like OverMod) stem from mistakes I made during the programming process, where I didn't know what my own code was doing until I heard the results. Happy accidents are part and parcel of the ÜberMod ethos.

Just bought it... you know, there are two developers right now whose new products I buy without even thinking about it... U-He is one, you're the other. Can't wait to dig into it.*

+1 I completely agree!
Another work of beauty Sean, congratulations, and I love your GUIs, very elegant and modernist.
