Many thanks for all your contributions, you did a great job - and several of those patches even put a smile (or at least a twitch) on my grumpy old face! Sorting hundreds of sounds into a sensible directory structure was quite a slog. I may have overlooked the qualities of some patches, and one or two gems just might have landed in the trash... forgive me please.
AND... apologies to David DeBaecke (auralscape/VitaminD) for mistakenly attributing his AS (auralscape) patches to Paul Binns. Will be fixed tomorrow (23.12.11).

I am currently correcting my presets with using both Beta 472 and 360. I'll try to send my update ASAP. I have to move my sign ("IW") from the end to the beginning but that will take only very few time.

I use Live to check my levels. They sound, in Logic8 at a slightly lower level than normal.
I did notice that more than a few HS presets from Zebra, go into the red when using them in Live, but not in Logic.
What DAW(s) do you use to check levels Howard?

In the past I've used a little utility called Batch File Rename (I think that's what it was called) that allowed you to bulk edit file names quite comprehensively (e.g. "delete last 2 characters from each filename, add IW to the beginning of each file")...Ingonator wrote:I have to move my sign ("IW") from the end to the beginning but that will take only very few time.
Just a thought...

I guess it's for everyone as this is published in a public forum. I have also not participated in the non-public beta.xybre wrote:Is this for anyone who has made patches or just the awesome people like Igno and Bronto?

AU-Lab, since last week. I've been using Logic / Cubase / Reaper, so my levels were all over the place!mcnoone wrote:What DAW(s) do you use to check levels Howard?

Also for non-awesome peoplexybre wrote:Is this for anyone who has made patches or just the awesome people like Igno and Bronto?
Note: I will have to reject the patches I personally hate - it's a dirty job, but someone has to do it!

Talk about your taste then! Could make it easier to choose the right bunch from 700+ presets.Howard wrote:Also for non-awesome peoplexybre wrote:Is this for anyone who has made patches or just the awesome people like Igno and Bronto?. Just send 'em in!

Cool idea to make the whole thing public
But there has to be some kind of quality control!
I guess that's the most arrogant thing I ever said in my life
Cheers

I understood that Howie's taste is the quality control. No?Bronto Scorpio wrote:Cool idea to make the whole thing public

And I don't think that quality control is arrogant. I did that for 3 years and it didn't change my level of arrogance.

Howard is exactly the right guy to judge the patches imochacka wrote:I understood that Howie's taste is the quality control. No?Bronto Scorpio wrote:Cool idea to make the whole thing public

But he really has to sort out the bad patches and maybe many duplicates (There will probably be 4509345090 Moog leads).
