Are the servos really that noisy ?
Don't know - it's just one of those things that's very distinctive about RC cars. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Hah! I've just recently gotten hooked on electric RC cars, I love that sound!

@jupiter8: I just help out with the PCB layout (I'm just a tech not a real engineer), so I'm not familiar with all the details of our design (nor would I be able to share them if I did know :hihi:). I'm not trying to discourage you, just sayin' it was a f**king pain to get our motorfaders to work the way we wanted.

Yeah i remember that thread.I was going to ask you about the details but if you're gonna be that way...... :hihi:

Anyways, now they're ordered. Delivery time 15-40 days plus i've bought a shitload of stuff over the last few days so it probably won't be my first project. So don't hold your breath on that one. Realistically it's 3 months in the future.

Even if i fail, it will be a failed 5 dollar fader instead of a 50 dollar one.

If you even can get a single motorized fader. The ones i've seen is like 80 faders minimum at 50 bucks a pop.

And i can most likely get my money back on the servos if not turn a profit even.

Hmmm now i'm thinking the servos was a mistake, what i really want is stepper motors. The servos only does one turn unless i'm mistaken and won't be enough for a 100 mm fader and i would need some sort of gear mechanism. This would lead to bad accuracy and possibly to heavy for the servos.

The problem is it takes really long for the delivery if you're doing it on the cheap like i am. So order now or wait ? I do have a lot of stuff coming in so there's plenty to do in the meantime.

Well here she is anyways.

It does and that's a huge problem.I don't really want to butcher it but i have to. The parts in it is worth to much for me, to afford not to. Just the jacks on it alone is worth more than what i gave for the whole mixer not to mention the 28 100mm sliders.

I have absolutely no use for it as a mixer but i really want to keep it. One solacing fact is that it has a digital card for routing/muting/etc and when that goes and it will,it will be a doorstop.
