Been using Simon's (Sampleconstruct) new Alchemy bank, Metalurgy, to explore Ubermod. Such a great combination from two of my favorite developers.

Is this better than NastyDLA?

This one's good for making drum parts busier, or simple bass lines with complex drums:

<ValhallaUberMod pluginVersion="1.0.0" presetName="Echreschendo" Mix="0.358999997" Depth="0" StereoWidth="0.338" Delay="0" Feedback="0" Spread="0.5" Slope="0" Skew="0.527999997" Random="0.379999995" TapGain="0.491666675" Diffusion="0.460000008" DiffSize="0" DiffModRate="0.00600600615" DiffModDepth="0" LowCut="0.246231154" HighCut="0.443718582" SpatialXover="0.492462307" DetuneRate="0.0240240246" DetuneDepth="0" VibratoRate="0" VibratoDepth="0" OverMod="0" DriveInGain="1" DriveOutGain="0.287499994" DriveNoiseGain="0" FeedbackRotate="0" SmoothingTime="0" ColorMode="1" DelaySync="0.235294119" type="0.25" DiffEnable="0" Drive="1" DrivePrePost="0" Speed="1"/>

You can flip the Diffusion switch on to soften the attack a bit.

Thank you :) - yes Metallurgy indeeed likes ÜberMod and vice versa :ud:

Demo testing on of Sound Iron's Twine Bass Instruments with a wobble diffuse setting in ÜberMod - nice combo imho :)

I noticed that the automation of some parameters in ÜberMod is not so finetunable inside Logic - e.g. if I have a Slow Rate setting of 0.06 the next step in Logic will be 0.16 so the smallest scaling seems to be 0.1 steps which is far too much to automate small transitions of the Mod speed

Da setting used in the above demo:

<ValhallaUberMod pluginVersion="1.0.0" presetName="Wobble Diffuse" Mix="1" Depth="0.365999997" StereoWidth="0.584500015" Delay="0.124499999" Feedback="0.563000023" Spread="0.836000025" Slope="0" Skew="0.74000001" Random="0.959999979" TapGain="0.537500024" Diffusion="0.779999971" DiffSize="0.46938777" DiffModRate="0.0210210215" DiffModDepth="0.180000007" LowCut="0.0251256283" HighCut="0.395477384" SpatialXover="0.331658304" DetuneRate="0.00500500482" DetuneDepth="0.39199999" VibratoRate="0" VibratoDepth="0" OverMod="0.49191919" DriveInGain="0.383333325" DriveOutGain="0.75" DriveNoiseGain="0" FeedbackRotate="0.808000028" SmoothingTime="0.414514512" ColorMode="0" DelaySync="0" type="0.166666672" DiffEnable="1" Drive="1" DrivePrePost="0" Speed="0"/>

It sounds amazing, and pretty unique! Exactly what we like. :)

Please consider to add slower sync values (8/1, 16/1, 32/1). I want to be able to sync it over several bars/beats.

Also, please consider user defined max and min values for parametres of all your plugins. It is hard to finetune some of them inside our DAWs.

Very nice, on all ends.

Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

Completely different things imo. But try it yourself! NastyDLA is free and there is a demo version of ÜberMod!

This one does some kind of crazy FM stuff. As written it's tuned to C, and can be tuned with the Mod SlowRate knob. If I had more time before work I'd consider setting up a control scheme that mapped incoming MIDI notes to values for this control. :D

<ValhallaUberMod pluginVersion="1.0.0" presetName="FM Verb" Mix="0.486000001" Depth="0.5" StereoWidth="1" Delay="0" Feedback="0" Spread="0" Slope="0.5" Skew="0.479999989" Random="0.787999988" TapGain="0.5" Diffusion="1" DiffSize="0.0979591832" DiffModRate="0.129129127" DiffModDepth="0" LowCut="0" HighCut="0.747738719" SpatialXover="0.361809045" DetuneRate="0.815815806" DetuneDepth="1" VibratoRate="0.333834589" VibratoDepth="0" OverMod="0.0919191912" DriveInGain="1" DriveOutGain="0.508333325" DriveNoiseGain="0" FeedbackRotate="0" SmoothingTime="0" ColorMode="1" DelaySync="0" type="0.291666657" DiffEnable="1" Drive="1" DrivePrePost="0" Speed="0"/>

In order to do this, I would need to expand the delay buffers inside the plugin. If they got much bigger, you would start seeing BIG jumps in CPU usage, as the plugin would no longer fit in the cache. I love looping delays (and I really do love love love them), but I can't afford to make this a long looper at the CPU expense of the other applications of the plugin.

A quick trick to double the max time: Go into WARP, and hit the Speed button, so that it is playing at 1/2 speed. This doubles the delay time.
Also, please consider user defined max and min values for parametres of all your plugins. It is hard to finetune some of them inside our DAWs.
Have you tried holding down the option key, and then clicking the mouse on the parameter? This allows for finer control over the slider/knob. Or are you talking about drawing in automation?
