Is there a way to stop audio input from going to the output of a rack? There is no Dry/Wet mix per rack that I can see. I can direct the output of a plugin within a rack to specific outputs but there is still a signal going to the default main out.
I have an NI Audio 6. I activated each in and out.
Imagine a single plugin like an autotune. I activate inputs to it. I direct the output with no dry and 100% wet to output #3. I get the tuned signal I expect on output #3 but I also get the original signal on output #1, the default output. How can I stop the dry signal going to the default outputs?

Hi,
I would check the audio channels routings for your plugins. They are located in the tools dropdown menu for each plugin in your rack. It sounds like the inputs are good but too many outputs are on. Try unchecking the channels you do not want to sound in the audio channels dialog box for autotune plugin. Hope this helps.

Thanks. But that's not it. The only output from the plugin is to the channel(s) I want. The issue is the default output of the entire rack. The plugin is fine.
For example, if you had only one rack and no plugins the input will go right out to the default master bus with no way to tell that rack where to route to other than the default out. Adding a plugin with different ouput channels send signals to those channels but there is still signal on the default channels for the rack.
I have been able to defeat this by disabling the first two channels on the master bus but this will mean reconfiguring all the sessions I have already created as well as no default output on each new rack. This was suggested elsewhere on this forum but it seems so odd that this is the only way to get around this.

Probably you can use a dummy rack for autio in and route that from/to your original rack. Then you can mute the dummy rack... ?!chrisk14 wrote:Is there a way to stop audio input from going to the output of a rack? ...
