$149? Too expensive at the best of times, but right after Christmas? I think sales will likely be flatter than they might otherwise be. This is the time of year people are paying off their debt - not adding to it.
And although apparently much more tweakable that uTonic, I wonder if it's the majority of people that actually start connecting modulators and LFO's (etc.) and delving into software feature sets to extreme minutiae?
Anyway, best of luck to them. I hated DCAM Synth Squad too, but love and use Geist.

It's still $30 cheaper than Punch and with the Owner (DCAm or Geist) Disc talked about on the Buy Sell Forum it might be about the same as uTonic.
So I think that's a decent price.

Much as I love uTonic, Tremor is very different and I would say much more powerful (have been beta testing for a couple of months).philait wrote:It's still $30 cheaper than Punch and with the Owner (DCAm or Geist) Disc talked about on the Buy Sell Forum it might be about the same as uTonic.

How can anybody hate a synth? (especially when it's so amazing)musikmachine wrote:Yeah i have to ask, why?filtide wrote:I'm speechless.burkek wrote:I hated DCAM Synth Squad too

Who's fault is that? Synth's or yours?metal wrote:That's not entirely impossible. Not thinking of DCAM ofcoursefiltide wrote: How can anybody hate a synth? (especially when it's so amazing), but I can think of a couple of synths that I would've rather been without looking back over the years... I have one synth in my stock that I havent touched since I got it and every time I start it up with the intention of getting "into it", I'm immidiately filled with an urgent need to mow the lawn..

I was never inspired by the sound - and the GUI(s) didn't help either. I gave it the old "college try" too: I was on the beta team firstly, and then once the price came down to $99 I thought I'd give it another go. In both cases I felt no connection to it. I feel the same way about Alchemy, and Octopus. But on the other hand, absolutely love DUNE and A.A.S. Ultra Analog. Can I explain it away? Not any more than I could explain why an individual likes one car vs. another, even in the same category and similarly spec'd out. If there's no emotional connection to the synth, creativity may not flow as easily, if at all.musikmachine wrote:Yeah i have to ask, why?filtide wrote:I'm speechless.burkek wrote:I hated DCAM Synth Squad too
So DCAM Synth Squad is not for me, that's all. And at $149, neither is Tremor. But I'll try the demo, if one becomes available, and revisit my decision - if I like it and it fills a niche in my arsenal, and if custom loyalty pricing comes into effect.

Looks and sound great to me! Hey, is FXpasnion hiring beta(or sound designers) testers?ZenPunkHippy wrote: Tremor is very different and I would say much more powerful (have been beta testing for a couple of months).
Peace,
Andy.
I've done a good bit of beta(and some sound design) testing.
Sorry, had to ask

I really wish I could have gotten my head around Geist while it was on sale, but I never could ascertain that it would give me what I needed so I let it slip by.burkek wrote:Anyway, best of luck to them. I hated DCAM Synth Squad too, but love and use Geist.
(I suppose that I'm also waiting to see if there will be a Stylus RMX successor announced soon...)
Tremor looks very promising and I'd like to check out a demo when/if it comes out.
As for DCAM, I demoed it twice but I never felt that it was what I wanted, sorry to say since it's a very nice synth(s) and will please many in the VA crowd.
