For the first time in my life it really feels like i've made a depressive song.

Its called Barcode.

Simple piece without drums. Just piano and strings and vocals and a tenorsax.
Hopefully you like it as much as i do.

The music is not entirely to my taste but the lyrics you have written are beautiful.
I think I perfectly understand what they mean. I like your vocals too.

I love your voice, and the saxophone is pretty cool. But that repeating piano line that comes in from the very start...I don't know, just doesn't work for the song.
And the piano all together is pretty dry too.
But, again, I love your voice! You did a good job singing this song! At the end there I heard some mouse clicks too, might want to chop that off your vocal track.
Good work though!

Very good indeed. I thought the insistent piano line worked well. A sort of hurried bustle contrasting with the far more languid singing.
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

I loved it. A really quirky little number that worked very well for me. I suppose the lyrics were as little depressing, but were in the same vein as OKIDss.

Maybe you could record a concept album around the subject of dehumanisation. Watch a few Kubrick movies first :hihi: :hihi:

Nice track Remmie

this piece sort of reminds me of tom waits, with better singing

ymmv

(edit) actually, if it were tom waits, the piano would probably be 'rhythmically sloppier'... the piano on this one sounds to be very precise in rhythm... yada yada... great piece here

_really_ _really_ great singing...

I got kind of a Roger Waters vibe off the track and the message. Nice one Remmie!

Very nice ! ...and it has meaningful lyrics as well.
I enjoyed it. All based on the piano ostinato, but it works fine.

Cheers

i'm with everyone in liking your vocals. It reminds me of several vocalists but i wont list them as courtesy, heh heh. i also have to agree with the comment that the piano is a bit dry (and bright). It sounds very "GM" in its quality. i do like what it does structurally, though. Maybe just try a different timbre and slightly longer decay and push it back in the mix slightly.

i noticed the mouse clicks too. Mostly because i catch them in my own recordings a lot, heh heh.

Fun piece :)

Thank you for someone FINALLY agreeing with me. I thought maybe I am just crazy...well I am...I'm the madgod, but that's a different story.

oh and, GM joke, +1

Whether it's true or not, the piano sounds totally 'exact' to me in its timing. I was thinking about it a bit, and if it is indeed very precise, maybe it's totally fitting for the song title and lyrics.
