Poly tune is great....does all strings in one shot and is pretty accurate

Peace,

edit: it's a plugin, not an app.

Just this weekend, both tuners on Amplitube and Guitar rig were having accuracy problems (I think there may have been a filter on somewhere in the chain that I couldn't disable). Anyway, I just reach for my iPhone and within seconds, problem solved.
Having the data for all the strings at once is a huge convenience, IMHO, as it really gives you a quick overview of where you stand overall. Best of the app tuners that I have seen.

Thanks for all answers so far, but I should have been more specific.
I am currently using the iPad (with a Tascam US-800) to multitrack performances involving my modular synth and a couple of grooveboxes. The huge advantage of the iPad is that it allows me to do without the PC during recording (my current DAW is quite a bit old and noisy).
I would like to be able to use a tuner app to tune the modular oscillators prior to recording. I'm currently using an Ibanez guitar tuner, but I could save some time (and a patch cable) if I could just tune it with the iPad. Also, I would sometimes like to see specific waveforms, especially from EG's and LFO's, and that's why I would also like an oscilloscope app. The outputs of the modular are permanently plugged into a couple of inputs on the US-800, so it's just a matter of loading the app (tuner/oscilloscope/recorder) that I want to use, without having to plug/unplug anything else.
I'm going to check out PolyTune, but I think it's a bit overkill since I only tune one oscillator at a time.
