There is an Eminent reaktor ensamble that's really awesome to tell the truth.
Best regards from Johan Brodd.

Wow, yeah, that's the best string machine VST I've heard, no question. The Logan-like sounds are strikingly authentic. Yeah I have a Logan too. :-)
What other string machines have you got?
Estradin Solaris.

I'd really like an Aelita.

Not very impressed by that bro, that's a definite space waster.
Doesn't seem to be a string machine, more a wacky little synth.

But I do like the concept of harmonic control over the core tone, I'm a big champion of that.

An accurate Performer would be reall cool :)

Beautiful musical instruments.

Some VSTIs mentioned here are very enjoyable too.

It's a paraphonic analog organ, to be precise. In actual practice 1/3 '60s organ, 1/3 string machine, 1/3 monosynth. The oscillator puts out a string-machine type waveform (which is not a saw), but without the chorus effects of a proper string machine, and it has a single self-resonating LPF.

It's the very oddity of it that makes it desirable, to people who like odd instruments. I've played it live a few times, it can sound quite evil, but mostly I use it as a sound source in the studio. The raw waveform is very rich in harmonics, stronger than the Performer, so it is good raw source. Excellent for synthesizing drones.

It sounds like having your teeth shaved with an electric razor. I think it's Crumar that is cheap-sounding, but I like it anyway. Oddly enough the machines go for the same prices in the vintage market.
