Well this interests me too, particularly with the polyrhythmic pattern sequencer. I've only just got round to downloading the demo (which may well have this feature disabled), but the manual (p53) mentions
In the VST plugin and standalone versions of Tremor, it is possible to send note events from the pattern sequencer as MIDI events from Tremor's MIDI output, in order to trigger external MIDI devices.
so I'm hopeful this will not be an issue.

Don't really have a 'Drum Synth' in my sonic arsenal.
Apart from Waldorf Attack which is pretty bloody blinding really.

Drumatic might be basic but, basics is what we are looking for here, and it sounds great. I toyed with getting Microtonic. But it is too powerful. Too flowery for my skewed perceptions. It needs tweaking I know.

Cue Tremor...

The timing is ironic really. I am just having a drum revolution in my mind with BFD. How did I survive for so long without this?

The last thing I need is this. But it sounds so god damn good and sounds so god damn cool. Next month - I see us DCAM and Geist owners get a nice little discount. Must get. Sold!

Love the blue...

Drag and drop midi patterns is definately missing. First must-have feature-request.

Secondly. I bought Tremor the second it got online. Nearly paid full price for it in the process :-o - but even though I can understand some of the less positive comments regarding the factory sounds, I think it's not a bad library at all. There's some good stuff in there and good starting points for tweaking your own stuff. I wont be using Tremor exclusively - but rather as an add-on for Geist, as I think the two go together like fish in the water!

I'll still be using Microtonic as well btw - but not too much for the next couple of months ;)

Ow, same here. I was planning on demoing it this evening, but if it doesn't have MIDI drag/drop or export, that might kill the deal for me. Can anybody confirm this?

edit: just saw metal's post. hmmmmm...hopefully in a not-too-distant update???

I'm sure that can be sorted out. Would be disappointed myself really if it wasn't. I mean, they have it in Guru and Geist and BFD, why not Tremor?

I'm sure they are on the case, but good call. Are you sure it doesn't have this?
It's kind of what we expect these days...

Have you tried driving Tremor with the Geist sequencer?

Is that possible? Havent even gotten to the manual yet ;)

I was expecting cpu use to be a lot worse but it's actually not bad. Some presets cause the cpu in Maschine to spike but overall it's not bad. I'd probably have to sequence and process the drums and then bounce to audio to use it in a project but overall i think the sound is good, i'm only listening on headphones though. Love the clock divide and polyrhydmic sequencing. :)

It's growing on me, all i can say is just swap the kits and drums out on the presets. But yeah midi drag and drop or export would be great to have.

Tried doing the same as well only Geist driving Punch. We'll see how this all gets sorted out

I might be missing something but this sounds awful compared to the CPU usage. Some patches are taking more than 60 %! Worst thing is that Microtonic sounds 10 times more powerful than this. I like Strobe, but this one is a failure in my book. The interface is not very intuitive either, requires a lot of manual reading.
Too bad, I was really looking forward to this, thinking it would be the next big thing after Microtonic.

If only DrumSpillage had a step sequencer. Now that's an underrated sound design monster!

Not sure at all what you mean by this, I was able to navigate the entire interface without looking at anything previously. Hell the signal path follows a perfectly straight line in the synth part.

Also just my opinion that I love the sounds that I'm getting from this. Every other drum synth I've used always seems small and weak, and needs layering in order to get big dance sounds of it them, Tremor does it all in one synth with minimal fuss.

Yes the sound is good in my opinion, especially the low end. Can coax some nice kicks out of this. Does it have some oversampling going on like D-Cam? Would be cool to have some offline 32x oversampling option (because I'm sucker for oversampling :D )
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

Post

Whaaa! Shit! :hihi:
I just prepared an example to show the softer side of Tremor, hit the freeze button to listen to it without crackles :hihi:, hit the unfreeze button to change a few things and my settings were gone  :hihi:
I should have thought of this

Anyone know if there are more presets in the full version?

Hey, check out "Frost Ambience" patch! wow! just sit back and let it take you to another world, it DEFINITELY is an evolver!

Yes CPU is a tad high, 35-50% on an i7 2.8GHz.

Wonder if they could ever do a draft mode or something?

The sound is definitely phat, lots of bottom end and nice stereo imaging.

FX and modulation are way cool.

Hmm, seriously thinking about laying down the $99 for this.

Nice job fxpansion.

Wait... is there not multiple quality modes for those of us with ancient (Pre 2010 :hihi:) machines so you can work with it in one quality and render in another?
