I've been trying to find a decent drum sequencer that I can actually write with. iGOG sounds awesome but no real sequencer...I'm sure I'll use it though. GarageBand mobile has a "smart drummer" but the sounds are not to my liking...no sequencer. Nanostudio is awesome or this...but lacks in other areas. Sampletank doesn't really have an editable sequencer and crashes every time I want to export...good sound though. So, I found Band Sim...killer sequencer...sounds ok..plus you can sequence bass guitar tea is and guitar tracks...fully editable and export function is there. This thing rocks!! Anybody else use it?

Have never heard of this app before. Looks cool, but I see a couple of comments here and there that it's unstable and will crash when editing more complex songs. Who knows... I guess that's true for a lot of apps.

You might check out Beatmaker 2. Pretty powerful app when it comes to making beats, and will allow you to create your own kits with imported samples.

I already have beatmaker 1 and 2, music studio, fl studio, groove maker, Sonoma 's drum apps. Easybeats 2, some are ok but they all lack in one area or another. I think band sim might be ok...I can make the song and export to multitrack daw, add effects Nd then record guitars over the top with JamUp. I have to see if there's a way to import drum sounds!!

OMG, that Band Sim thing sure looks cheesy. Also, as mean as it might come through - I doubt there's any way to really communicate with the developer(s). Just have a look at the app description, simply horrible (and I'm not a native english speaker by any means).
Anyway, regarding drums, I want to be able to import my own sounds. NanoStudio does that perfectly, so there.

For good simple sequencer, I like DM1 (soon to get an update with exports and 32 step patterns). Good range of sounds too.

DrumtrackHD is flexible and quite powerful, but has been a little unstable.

Molten is okay (good for receiving MIDI if you sequence in Genome, StepPolyArp or Phaendra).

Sample Lab is also worth playing with - not as intuitive as it could be, but I've got some great results from it.

It did look a little cheesy, but my curiosity got the better of me and I bought it. It's a solid drum sequencer, but the reason I wanted it was because of the ability to create bass guitar pieces...after a little work on figuring the darn think out...I was really amazed at how you can put hammers, pulls, mutes and bends...the bass sounded awesome too. Just like writing out tab. Nanostudio is still awesome for drums but this is killer for writing bass lines....switch tempos mid way or anywhere you want and export feature...worth a shot if you don't mind spending $10. I'll probably keep using it...along with all the rest until a perfect one comes out that does it all...

It says it supports midi from nano 2 but can't seem to get it to work with other midi devices
1 fx per sequence but you can record movement of fx parameters
Fx can be set on or off in sequence with track on each kit part
