This is all the due respect you have for me here? I thought we've been beyond that already but if you don't want to.Lotuzia wrote:Well, with all due respect, chacka wrote:
Well said. I wouldn't buy these ancient boxes of glory if I would have the money as a leftover. Their disadvantages are too big for me. Diva: poly, total recall, several instances at once, etc, etc.
This argument seems completely irreleavnt to me : It can be said from every soft synth made since 15 years.
So why do you think you have to tell me that you didn't read my other comments in this thread and request me to repeat what I already said? Come on, you can be cooler than that.
Got a bad day today? Not sure if I should do that anyway but here goes:Lotuzia wrote:Btw who needs several Stadivarius instances in a track ? Or several Gibson ? We just need one who behaves the way it is intended to.
Did you ever heard of an orchestra where more than one violin is required? Or did you ever listen to something else than a live recorded blues rock trio where there are several guitars overdubbed?
Do what ever you want to. I don't want to work that way anymore.Lotuzia wrote: If I want to record 50 tracks of my Odyssey, or my Juno 60 ( Polyphony ) I can do it at once in any Daw ( even freeware ones )
Lotuzia wrote: Good music and good synths are not 2012. Its been there for a while
Let me assure you: This is the last time I let you steal my time like this. If you would like a fruitful conversation and may it be as controversial as it gets then that's totally cool with me and you're welcome. But please refrain from such nonsense like the above. Go fill the pizza thread with nonsense. That's what it is for I think.
Peace?

Yes Peace Chacka
I did not read all the thread, that true . Only this part because the Synthix was mentioned. (And this answers to Bronto as well, if Synthix had not been mentioned, I would not be there )
Thats perfectly true that soft synths have their pros, and cons (ie the ones you stated ). And their analog counterparts too. I have both, like them both, I use them both. And tbh I'll never record my Odyssey on 50 tracks of a Daw, this is only an example in "theory pushed to limits". So probably a bit flawed, as most pure constructions of mind
All this is part of a more general debate between Hw and Sf was what I meant. They're still different, both in their sound, possibilities, and of course the way to use them, and how they will insert in your workflow.
So its true that real analog synths are from really expensive to maybe overpriced. (also they take some room ) And ones might prefer all in the box playing. Also : The word irrelevant was in the bad place : It did not mean that the INB option itself was irrelevant, it was just here to say that it could be in favor of any softsynth, not only the one you mentioned. Sometimes my English betrayed me when i want to make complex sentences. Sorry for that.
Else yes no need to go further on the examples : Strings sections are as desirable as solo stradivarius, and single guitars as huge overdubs. Music needs everything under the sun/
