cool, added that link to the first post.
Thanks! I don't have enough posts so my link didn't work out too well :D

From now on, I'll post in this thread when dBVU has any updates. The download link in the first post will always point to the newest version. (The last update was on January 8th.)

I like making simple plugins, so feel free to check out www.sleepytimerecords.com for others. Another plugin called Polarity was just released and I have some others in the works.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks! I really appreciate what you do for home studios and plugin developers!

I made polarity as a quick fix for REAPER's weird position of its polarity button
in the signal chain. It definitely has other uses though!

If anyone has any suggestions or questions or anything, feel free to post here, pm me, or contact me through my website.

Booyah, thanks for the polarity switcher. I've had a lot of problems with different polarity plugins in the past, for whatever reason, and this one is stereo.

I might suggest just two buttons, "left" and "right", for an even simpler UI.

I'm glad you like it!

As for dropping the L+R and OFF buttons... What if you want to flip both sides at once?

Thanks for dBVU - very nice and useful plug-in - unfortunately my virus software found an infection in the plug. The plug was then missing from the folder so I had to delete the entire lot.

Anyone else have this problem? I used it for about two hours before the scanner kicked in and found the infection.

I think it would be great if you could upload a clean version.

Good luck! :o

Hi Integratron.

I can assure you there is no virus in dBVU or any of my plugins. I have no interest in harming anyone's data and honestly I wouldn't even know where to begin if I wanted to!

For future reference and my own research, could you please post the name of your antivirus and what name and type of virus that dBVU was detected as?

Thanks
-Dustin

no threats found here with Avast.

No - none of those - I was using PC Tools. The threat was detected as a High Level threat and was called Huer something.

This doesn't sound like a false positive:

Thank you.

The virus in that thread seems to have been a false positive as well. I'm going to do some research and run dBVU through some scans. I'm not sure why the plugin is coming up as a virus. It is built using Cockos wdl/IPlug framework and I haven't coded anything to allow access to the file system.

My suspicion is that it is either a false positive or an existing virus on your system that infected the file.

But I'll start doing some research right now. I'll post back with the results.

I'm really sorry you're having this trouble.

Here are the results from some online scans. I uploaded both dBVU.dll and dBVU x64.dll to these websites. The websites then ran the files through multiple popular antivirus programs and saved the results online.

dBVU:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresul ... 5e5a8c27c0

http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/rep ... 1326330570

dBVU x64:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresul ... f1b5b204d3

http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/rep ... 1326331095

I also ran the files through Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware on my own computer. Both showed the files were clean.

Feel free to download dBVU again and run the files through any other virus scanners.

I hope that helps.
