When will you realise that Mac users must be punished for their oversight in buying an overpriced under performing machine. The best software will always be PC only

When? When the presets are ready. I'd guess another month or so.
How much? I'm thinking about $80.
How much to upgrade? New Price - $35.
Audio demos? Coming soon.
MacMacMac? Not in the initial release. Mac support has been added to delphi, so in theory it's possible. If someone sends me a mac I'll get started right away.
iPhone? Don't hold your breathe.

Cool, I've been using the first version lately, the sound and gui never get old.

Teaser sounds alright, a demo version would be a lot more fun!
That new fxpansion one was pretty good, not good enough to pay actual money for. Why did they put synth bleeps in it? Am I really that dumb?

I'm debating about buying Tremor, mostly because I like the sequencer and as a Geist owner I can get it a bit cheaper. The synthesis, however, doesn't come anywhere close to what Extreme Drumsynth does. I'm a bit of a drumsynth whore... I have all the D16 plugins, a Machinedrum, ER-1, DR110, KPR77, and of course I have an ongoing sample library of drum sounds I've made with my Eurorack modular.RunBeerRun wrote:Teaser sounds alright, a demo version would be a lot more fun!

Even so, I keep coming back to EDS as my favorite. I can't wait to see the next release!
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

I know, the demo will be coming soon, hopefully in the next few weeks. I'm putting together sounds and patterns now.RunBeerRun wrote:Teaser sounds alright, a demo version would be a lot more fun!
The initial release will be 32 bit, but I plan to look into converting to 64 bit after that. There's quite of bit of hand tuned assembly code in it which makes the conversion nontrivial.sirbellog wrote:Any chance it would be 32 and 64 bit ?
I was expecting the sound from Tremor to be close to Extreme Drumsynth since the cloud oscillator plus noise is very similar to Extreme Drumsynth's architecture. But the sounds you get out of the two drumsynths are quite different, at least based on what I've heard so far.deastman wrote:I'm debating about buying Tremor ... Thanks for being patient. It seems like it always takes longer than I expect. I think the wait will be worth it, as I'm having fun using it already.

Cool, I never saw this reply. Certainly no rush, patterns are fun to play with.
Extreme drum synth is the only drum plugin where I don't have to settle for less.

I miss how the old version loaded the gui faster, I went into my burnt discs and am running both an old one-oscillator version alongside the latest. The old one didn't have presets, they just brought up different pads.

Finally got around to spending some quality time with the ExtremeDS2 demo. It's screaming-out for a manual or at least a video tour of the interface and how everything is connected. If I have time at the weekend I'll give it a shot.
I've figured out the synthesis parts and now working through the sequencer functions, and I am really liking what I hear so far. I think this will become my main drumsynth now.
I have some questions though:
- I'm not sure how the fills operate. I see the blue power switch but it doesn't behave predictably. I see fills when the stylize button is depressed, and I can change them with the sylize knob, but when stylize is off there are no rolls - is this right? Also, the rolls don't seem to vary much, even when randomize is on for that track. Hope that makes sense
- The buttons along the right from stylize (Pat/Vel/Snd) - I assume allow variations on the pattern velocity and sound. However I cannot work out the connection - the patterns vary but the velocity and sounds seemingly do not. A little confused
- Also I hear the difference between swing and shuffle - but whats going-on under the hood?
In approx 3 hours I experienced only one crash (energyXT1.4) which happened when switching sounds quickly.
There is one noticeable graphical bug - the marker lines on the sequencer group knobs sometimes extends across the whole GUI.
Cheers
