right click, "save as".

The crashride illustrates an additional use of the drive stages - use the pre-filter drive to make a cymbal sound become more chaotic & noisy in its decay tail.
Thanks Angus cool of you to do this. The first one worked but this seconded one wouldn't load. I hope this benefits others as well I feel that with tweaking
I can get the sounds I desire and I actually like some of the more nastier sounds and they will find a place in my tracks along with some of the softer old school stuff I feel you can achieve in Tremor. As a guitar player the only Artists that I initially liked as far as Synth based Music was
Depeche Mode then NIN and other Industrial Artists like Front line Assembly
and Spahn Ranch, Daft Punk came around and with the Trance based music while cool at first I became quickly tired of it. I like the minimal and ambient stuff, but I didn't grow up with much Electronic Music. Pink Floyd grabbed me as a child
and i feel since I haven't been into the "scene of Dance music that may work in my favor as my approach to electronic music will have some minor influences from the above and the rest will be my own experimentation. I want to throw some guitar work into my tracks as well Thanks again and try uploading again the second file

I have just noticed that a few of my presets are saved incorrectly or are completely wrong.

Folder ELECTRO preset 'Progressiv Tribe' is totally wrong. It's a completely different preset/sound/pattern to what should be there, which is this:
http://www.electric-himalaya.com/stuff/ ... _Tribe.mp3

Folder ELECTRO, preset 'Ambient 2' is saved in pattern 8 but it should be pattern 1 which sounds like this:
www.electric-himalaya.com/stuff/tremor/Ambient_2.mp3

Folder '4 to the floor', preset '4-4 Banger' is saved in pattern 8 but it should be pattern 1 which sounds like this:

I am shocked because I did not like the three DCAM synths. This however is great, exactly what I have been looking for.
how did you get it to work with apc40? :)

Bought!

Just my 2c:

FXpansion's track record is great; I'm banking on them addressing the majority of issues with Tremor all in good time.

Could you upload the presets?

Will be buying this thing over the weekend..

Wow! These sound awesome! Especially the 2nd one

No need. They are part of the default library. I was just pointing to that the fact that a gremlin got in the machine and messed up the presets, so I thought I'd post these audio examples for people to hear the correct versions. :-)

Check out Ambient 1 (the electro folder) too, if you like softer sounds. :-)

Thank you Dennis. Ambient 1 is in the same style. Check it out. I have many more like this but they didn't make it on time as I went away and had to complete majority of beats on my laptop which is underpowered to play complex Tremor beats and so I could not finish them. :(

So is there no way to get a sine wave in this or am I missing something? Even a triangle wave adds harmonics that I do not want in a clean sounding kick.

SKoT_FX wrote:@_leras - that's a bit unfair, that's exactly what we're doing by asking people what they feel is missing, and asking for audio examples to guide us.

There *are* "standard" drum machine sound presets - one kick preset is even blatantly named 909. One could argue those have been common targets for many years for synths and exist in zillions of sample libraries - our designers were naturally excited by the new places Tremor could go.
Yeah, sorry probably a little unfair, but Synth Squad is way short of a good range of presets. do you realise that you can generate free publicity by announcing free preset packs for these things...?

I really like the sound of Tremor and think anyone that doesn't was probably non analogue sounds. i.e. to say Papen Punch sounds better because it has samples included kind of misses the point. For analogue sounds it's really great.

The sub is a sine, turn the main oscillator down and the sub up. The sub's pitch also follows the pitch control so you can still modulate it (but no fm, sync, etc).

^^ Ahh thanks! I'll try this out now.

Edit: Ah yes, this will certainly work for what I do. Not like I need the oscillator parameters for a kick anyway.

I still find it odd how there's no other direct way of doing this though, you'd think having a sine wave as a waveform choice would be the first thing on the board?

We wanted to keep Tremor quite focused, without zillions of osc choices to detract from the central core of the sound engine. The sub-osc is a good compromise though, and you can also use the filter in self-oscillation as a sine (the best sines in the analog world tend to come from self-osc filters too).

Ah, of course I had to try the self oscillating filter the second you mentioned this. Putting the fast envelope on the cutoff to modulate the pitch, as well as putting it on the oscillator's pitch for it hits the same frequency, ahhh, that's quite the kick!

Jesus.

You've been quite forgiven for not having the sine wave in the oscillator's waveforms!
