Once again, Lawrence you are totally wrong.

It is inconceivable to me how someone can be so incorrect so consistently. Everyone knows that S1 is better than Reaper. Why you persist with this Neville Chamberlain appeasement rhetoric, I will never understand. It is surprising to me that your posting privileges have not been yanked for your specious and spurious assertions.

It is only your shadowy relationship with Boscoe (a known bayou crawdad eater)that keeps you a certified member of the audio community and eligible for stickers.

It's not really propaganda. Although one can cherry pick a part or two and say "X does that also"... it seems to be the case that no other host utilizes drag and drop so universally and to such good effect across the board.

There's almost nothing you can't do there via drag and drop from exporting audio tracks or time stamped regions or full midi files to creating presets for anything to dropping files from the Internet directly into arrange tracks to dropping in a plug-in preset in realtime to capture automation changes to dropping automation envelopes directly from instruments to midi clips to dragging midi from the piano roll to create a new clip with those midi notes to dropping a drum map directly on the key editor to load it. It goes on and on.

The coverage of drag and drop is very, very wide and much more complete than most.

So to evaluate it fairly in context you have to view it in it's entirety. Viewing it that way (the whole thing, and not only individual parts that may exist here or there) ... I don't see anything that even comes close overall... as relates to sheer usefulness across the board.

You rarely ever see or even need a dialog for any of that stuff.

They seem to be obsessed with drag and drop and (imo) it pays off rather well there. Seriously, if you want to extract the groove from Tupac's "Hail Mary" or something you drag an 8 bar clip to the groove window and drop it and be done. No dialog, nothing to think about really.

Sorry, this is a versus thread, so no other host but Reaper comes into. Reaper simply is voodoo magic. Drag and drop in reaper is superb. And has been for a very long time. But hey, whatever.
