Hello all
Kudo's to Brad and CantabileSoftware for creating such a wonderful VST Host application.
I have enjoyed all of the options Cantabile has to offer and setup 17 Sub-Sessions thus far utilizing sounds from Komplete 8, and Trillian.
I am using Cantabile Performer with a Core I7 965 desktop PC with 24GB of ram and two XM-25 Solid State drives running in raid 0. I am using a NI Audio 6 for audio out.
The issue I am trying to resolve is to discover if there is a way to somehow isolate certain racks to not be updated when switching between subsessions.
I have two midi input sources. One for me and the other for a guitar player.
1. Yamaha S90 /XS
2. Roland GR-55
I have changed all racks but one from omni mode to the yamaha keyboard and the last rack from omni mode to to the GR-55.
Despite the attempt to isolate the racks by input device the racks for the keyboard continue to alter settings on the GR-55.
Although I set the default session as blank (All racks off) when ever I call any of the other racks it also suspends the GR-55 rack and each of it's rack presets.
My hope was that the pedals and notes mapped from the GR-55 would be the only thing to alter that rack but so far I have not been able to solve this issue.
Has anyone run into this sort of application and found a solution?
Thanks
Curt

The commercial versions of Cantabile (Solo and Performer) provide midi filters.
You can use "Controller Map" not just to change single controllers but to suppress individual midi CC events too.
There is also "Supress events" which is a bit more sophisticated. There you can suppress almost any channel mesage. You can enter in "Controllers" the numbers you wish to suppress. Entering "1-128" there should suppress all controllers.
Cantabile Lite does unfortunately not supprot these features. You just can select multiple midi channels by clicking a channel number while holding the Ctrl modifier key. You'll see than "Multi" as channel selection in a rack.
