Ingonator wrote:Hi,

like promised i created a first Audio demo using the new Xils Lab Le Masque Delay in combination with one of my own presets for KV331 Audio Synthmaster 2.5 (8 examples, 10:39 mins):

Le Masque Bells Demo 1

The first two examples are Synthmaster only, where the second uses the internal Delay FX of Sythmaster. The examples 3 and 4 use more "basic" presets of Le Masque while the last 4 use more complex presets.
Each example uses a single instance of Le Masque and Synthmaster (only Synthmaster in examples 1+2) and no external FXs (besides Le Masque) or additional automation were used. All notes were recorded "live", mostly using both hands.

The last example sounds a bit like "audio dropouts" which is not the case!

Ingo
Thanks a lot Ingo,

Some beautiful demos here with an "ample" and ethreal sound. :tu:

Note : It doesnt matter at all if its Synthmaster, I've made the Shaftesque EP demo with NI FM8.

Different synths, different flavors, difference = music !
Hi Laurent,

good to know you like the demo.

As you mention FM8 i already thought about using a few of your FM8 presets as a sound source. Maybe i'll try to do that in another demo. Another thought was to use the Waldorf Blofeld directly (and not as samples like in this example...).

Ingo
Feel free to use whatever sound source you love Ingo : Le Masque can treat them all :)

And all demos that shows different possibilities of Le Masque are DEEPLY appreciated !

When its not used as a standard delay, Le Masque can be really both audio source/context dependant AND user dreams and fantasy dependant : And all these mixtures we're interested in !

Really like LeMasque concept, I find it very useful also on Arpeggiation and Sequences, like on this simple arpeggiation, (first 5 Seconds dry).

Thanks Alex,

It sounds great ( Almost like a flanger sometimes ) and very clean and percussive :tu:

Another great example of Le Masque in a different situation.

Yes Arpeggios (including percussive bass material) are good sources too. Thanks again for providing an audio example

Just checked it : there is a problem with the powerpc compatibility
I will work on this today.
Thanks for that! - but I'm on an Intel machine...? (2.66 Ghz Intel core 2 duo)

Hmmmmmm.
Hi Andre,

It should be fixed now: just download and install the last available version (1.0.02)

It also fixes a noise when Le Masque was inserted the first time.

Demo

Success! Sounds great so far. Thx for debugging!

This video looks quite interesting, I've actually been thinking about a delay effect almost exactly like Le Masque lately so this could be a sign :D

Unable to use my DAW till next week though :( look forward to demoing it then

Glad it now works works totally Ok André, and thanks for your kind words.

Else :

The installers of both the demo and the ful version have been updated to V 1.0.02.

If you were confronted to ptoblems with the previous demo version please redownload the demo version and install it

Feel free to add your features requests in this thread. Once all the possible remaining bugs will be fixed the features updates will be considered :

Currently schedulled updates : More modulation targets : like MaskLevel to Pan ( So that you can make stereo sweeps/effects witht the different delayed signal ), Ev/Lfo crossmods, etc

Will be considered : Adding the filter into the Delay feedback loop.

More ? Please add your own requests :)

Hi folks
It looks interesting, I really want to demo this one :D

Post

Looks interesting indeed,

unfortunately I have little time right now (in the following 5 days) to try it.

So I apologise in advance if this has been said before somewhere, but I would like to know how long the intro price is supposed to last ?

Hi Sir Bellog

Itys Ok, in theory until February 28th so you still have some times left.

It was only released the 10th of January. ( And already our best success  ) So the intro price stays for 6/7 weeks.

All details here :

Le Masque

Please note : If you have a 32 bits Daw running on a 64bits OS, please install the x32 demo version. Only install the x64 versions of the demo if you're running a 64 bits Daw together with a 64bits OS.

Le Masque has around a hundred presets to get you started, and you can also watch the videos to see how to operate it. ( or give a glance at the manual where I've included a Quick Start chapter )

How cool is that, serial number protection FTW 8)

Get this one people, it's a great delay for a great price and no dongle required!
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Yeah, I'm tempted to get it just for the fact it's serial protection even though I don't really need it.
