If you've not seen the TC-11 synth, check it out.

An iPad synth performace app done just right.

Cheers for the heads up. Think I'll be getting that for sure. Really like stuff that makes use of the iPad interface rather than just trying to emulate typical synth layouts.

Well that's the most I've spent on an iOS app - it's funny how money you wouldn't even hesitate to spend on a desktop app seems like a big deal in the apple ecosystem. Anyway - slightly mixed feelings about this - I think it has masses of potential and my next step is to get stuck into the manual. But I'm somewhat disappointed by the presets - a proportion of them are little more than sound effects and a fair few seem to be somewhat lacking in playability. But it might just be my initial fumblings - I'll read it up before I decide. However I think as a sound design tool it could be a lot of fun - there's rather a lack of nice ambiences and pads in the factory set so I intend to put that right asap.

Thanks for the review. Interesting but I will hold off until I see more development. Pricey though.

Yes. Read the manual, and get into it.
Make your own pads, drones and atmospheres, and they are GREAT to play, with the mulit-touch screen.
And the sequencer, programming arps or gates is a blast, and then take it to the next level with mulit-touch control/mangeling.

There are updates coming to this app, but I don't remember what it was.

I need to buy this one. Looks really cool. Expensive for an App but looks like it could be worth it. I'm very into drones/soundscapes. This looks like it could be good for that sort of thing - build your sound, then perform it using the innovative control system. I like the idea of this one.

OK, is no one going to mention the iPAD 'Guitar' style stap on?
Can you buy that?

I tried to resist, but finally sprung for this one. To me 10$ is expensive for an app, so this was really an extravagance!

There are a handful of presets that are "playable", but that is enough to make me feel like it wasn't a waste of $30- they really show me the potential of this.
I'm excited to dig in and start programming- it isn't going to be easy, mostly cause of the workflow- you have to switch back and forth a lot to hear what you have done.

The presets are good to learn from also.
And yes, there should have been some sort of preview option in the pages where you create and modify the sounds.

These days I uploaded some new presets (maybe 30) for TC-11 at the TC-11 forum... which is a little bit dead... or almost.

I'm curious to share your own temptation to study and create some other...
Free presets: Alchemy, FM8, Poseidon, Tera, Toxic Bio and soon for Gladiator, Circle, Cube2, Zebra and more.
