Hi all,
First let me say THANK YOU to all who gave me so much points that I made the 4th place!
That was an absolutely surprise for to get so many nice reactions and comments for my first song in the OSC. I allways thought my style of music is so old school, that I never will have a chance. I am listening to OSC for more than a year. First I only wanted to hear how the sounds of the synths are. But soon I loaded a lot of tracks to my playlist, because they are great and I want to hear them again and again. In this days the differents between a Pro and an amateur has nearly vanished. It became more a question of taste than a question of money for equipment. And what can be done with just one freeware synth is often amazing and stunning. I struggeled with myself if I should step infront of the curtain. But I did and now I got part of this group of talanted musicians and got honered with a wonderfull ranking - what a great feeling!
And second I want to thank Urs for another wonderfull synth. I think I wouldn't take part of the OSC if it was not the Diva. It was this synth with its sound possibilities, it's clear, easy to understand and good looking GUI which pushed me into action.
Urs: if you need one more demo song for the Diva, feel free to use mine. It would be the biggest honor for me!
And third the biggest congratulations to the winner PocVecem, DocJon, Aiyn and Stonail. Your work desereved those attention and respect!
So, thanx again for this exciting event,
Photonic AKA MaWa

@Irion:
Gerald is the one with a tinitus, a high d, thus his preference for d-minor. I have had and am still having my share of loud music in a hard rocking band, but luckily my hearing is still quite good and all is calm when the music stops.

Congratulations Pocvecem, You definitely deserved it. I feel proud to have been the first person to give you first place! I think all the other tracks I switched around after extended listening but with your track there was no question. Actually I want to say to Solidtrax if today the vote was still open I may have bumped it up higher. It is a really solid mix and a good tune. It just took time to grow on me. I also feel like a real winner. I gained a lot of valuable experience. Things which I just didn't think of before since I have never before made a track which was going to be judged by other producers. This is very helpful.
Also you know what is amazing about this OSC, how professional and finished a track can sound without any money spent on external processing.
Finally I just discovered that ZebraCM is amazing. I had got it on a computer music magazine but never really looked at it until last night. Urs you are very generous.
Also thanks of course to everyone who voted for me and for your comments.

Cheers guys and a very nice birthday present there Irion.
Interesting with the flow in writing the song Pocvecem, especially with the looming deadline and all.. But I've heard this a few times already how top songs are sometimes written very fast so really believe there's something to be had by getting the speed up. I must try to finally have the sounds and effects ready before writing start..

Don't worry Gerald I will not bite youpocvecem wrote: Oh, and i specially have bad feelings about not giving points to Doc this time. Hope he doesn't bite me!
- of course you should not have given me points, the other tracks seemed better to you!
Actually I feel fine coming second to such a great track...
really fine...
then you tell us you put it together in a hurry in only like 3 days...
...with little effects and no time to perfect the mix...
...and you were ill when you did it!!!
and it was still better than the rest of us!!
Now I feel depressed
Jon
PS Get well soon!

Same feeling.
