I would love it if the lane lengths could be adjusted from the left and right sides. That would make for much better polyrhythms.
Also, I think it needs at least one more reverb. I don't mind Tin Can, but would like something a little more straightforward.
Finally, I would like to be able to assign a different graph easily to each synth. It might be possible already, but I cannot figure it out, and yes I have read the manual.

In addition to the Maestro Rythm King, which I have posted on the previous page, here is a rough rendition of the Wersimatic Wm24 - rough as I just could not get some of the metallic sounds to sound right. I bet they are there in Tremor. I just can't dial them in just now
, still the kick is an almost exact replica, so is the snare and hats:

This will need more work though to get those metallic noises right...

I'm hoping to do many more vintage drum demos so you will end up with even more licences.
I'm just testing the ground and myself to see how close to the original analogue sound Tremor can get. On the surface it looks like all those analog drums are made of sine waves and filtered noise with a touch of ring mod or FM (to put it simply), but once each sound is dissected (by ear) massive differences emerge. The kick for example, so different in Maestro Rhtyhm King and Wersimatic, requiring completely different approaches.
Interestingly, while slaving at those vintage sounds, I have stumbled upon lots of cool contemporary stuff which I wouldn't have found otherwise.
But I won't post a demo, lest you end up with even more licenses.

Sounds great. Does this mean a Himalaya Vintage Drum Boxes Tremor pack is in the works?himalaya wrote:In addition to the Maestro Rythm King, which I have posted on the previous page, here is a rough rendition of the Wersimatic Wm24 - rough as I just could not get some of the metallic sounds to sound right. The thing with Tremor is...since it packs so much synthesis power it is easy for the novice to leave the parameters at their almost *default* position, which will result in the clangorous industrial sound. However, once you apply the very basic techniques of drum synthesis, all manner of classic sounds emerge, with a round and fat tone. Then learn the DCAM modulation system and you enter a world of twisted percussion, very removed from the bangs and clangs of the industrial sound.

Thank you.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sounds great. Does this mean a Himalaya Vintage Drum Boxes Tremor pack is in the works?
Who knows. To do a proper Vintage Drum Boxes set I'd need to base all sounds on real machines, rather than samples, which in turn means that I'd need to hire the lot one by one. It would be interesting though, as Tremor has all the tools to get very close to all those vintage sounds. Certain sounds take a lot of time to get right, like anything that's metallic with a dual sound (which the vintage drum machines have a lot of). We'll see.

Quality stuff, i'm on a more experimental tangent with it, because typical drum machines are covered by a lot of other drum machines and samples but those demos sound really good, organic textures if that makes sense.himalaya wrote:I'm hoping to do many more vintage drum demos so you will end up with even more licences.![]()

Programming drum timbres with Tremor is more complex but more rewarding at the same time and the sequencers and effects are great. Seems pretty limitless so far and i've lost hours just tweaking sounds, and then maschine has crashed.
I really wish Fx had included the option to save in the demo like Synth Squad. Why'd they leave that out?
So are those personal patches or are you releasing them in a pack?

Awwww, love these sounds from the classic 70's boxes. Tremor wouldn't be complete without having them as patches so do please release them one way or another! Did I say please?himalaya wrote:In addition to the Maestro Rythm King, which I have posted on the previous page, here is a rough rendition of the Wersimatic Wm24 - rough as I just could not get some of the metallic sounds to sound right. I was finally able to sit down with Tremor last night and really get to grips with it. Nice sound, and some very good presets.
Quick question though. Admittedly, it was late, and I wasn't at my sharpest, but try as I might, I could not find the access to the pattern banks. Of course the presets each loaded with a set of patterns, but I couldn't figure out how to just get to the patterns themselves.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Cheers

THIS IS REALLY WEIRD. I know how to setup Tremor to record it's midi out from the patterns. Since there is no midi drag and drop this was an OK workaround.
I also know how to setup two tracks, one from an instrument that generates midi beats and the other track to receive them and have it's own sounds triggered.
I learned how this works with the following examples. Ugo's "Dualism"(a complex
arp plug) and set that to trigger another VSTi. Then came EZ Player Pro to trigger Steven Slate drums.
I at first had success just having a "Tremor Track setup and it recorded it's own patterns. I didn't notice until last night that there were preset grooves. Up to this point I was playing around making my own beats and selecting different kits. I decided to hear audition the factory midi grooves. So today I thought I would record them on a Tremor track and see if It could drive Geist on another track as well.
It was hit and miss as far as any midi being recorded on any track. Some worked
other didn't. This was even the case when I did my own grooves. So whether it is Tremor itself, or having it drive another VSTi, it would and wouldn't always do the task and was unpredictable.
The thing is, I love the Seq on Tremor enough that I would probably spend the $99.00 offer for registered Geist and DCAM(I own both) mainly for the seq and with the hope that I could eventually program my own sounds. I have zero
experience doing so as I know enough about Subtractive synthesis that I could at least have some luck with Strobe, then study further with the Fx products I have or want to buy in the future. I am in the minority as I like many of the factory Tremor sounds but Admit would like to see some more in the kinder way.
DAW's used. Cubase Essentials 5(32 bit) and the Latest version of Reaper 64 bit. I run Win7 64 bit. This erratic behavior occurred using either one.
So it happens in both 32 or 64 bit versions of Tremor.
Since I don't have the fastest machine(i3 550@3.2GHZ 8 gigs of ram)
If I ran into Cpu issues then I would enlist the help from Geist and would run Fewer Tremor engines.
Is anyone else having similar issues? You FX guys could jump in as well
My system is clean and all is fine running all my apps. The main Daw related issues would be the obvious 32 bit bridging Problems, luckily most mine are 64 bit. Have to decide real soon if I upgrade my current version of Cubase up to 64 bit or Choose Reaper 64 bit, but that is another topic all together.
I think Tremor is cool now but will mature in to quite a beast. I just don't know if I should jump on now and save the 50 or wait and see. $50.00 more isn't that bad, but I would like it to work for me now and see what the future brings. Comments?

They might find their way into the default library. Stay tuned.musikmachine wrote:

This is the gist of the matter. It is an untamed beast at the moment. But give it time, talk to it nicely, don't call it 'beast' but 'beauty in the beast'I think Tremor is cool now but will mature in to quite a beast
BERFAB,Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Look up in the top right corner in Tremor. There is a row of 24 pattern memories. The very first eight should always have preset patterns, usually variations on the first one. Just click on them.
