Ok, fixed the problem. Hotfix version 1.0.02 now available for download. Fixes this, and this only.

Lots of action. I turn around and.... New version (again)
Many Thanks

Filter cutoff frequency seems to not be independent of the sampling rate.

I haven't read this thread so I don't know what kind of feature requests have been asked for but I have a really useful and simple one:

A "learn active notes" mode where you press a "learn" button and it detects which midi notes are playing into TX16Wx and then when you release the "learn" button it consolidates all the active midi keys/samples into a keymap B view so you don't have to fumble around for ages trying to get a grip on traversing a large inactive sample map and scrolling around trying to pick out which keys are being triggered by the sequencer for changing and auditioning new samples.

I would like it to work identical to the way it works in Shortcircuit 2 or Poise, a (collapsible?) file browser that you can click on each file to audition it and then drag it to a keyzone so simple and nice!

I would hug a different goat for every day of January AND February 2012 for this feature.

You are completely correct. Insane that noone spotted this before. A mult that disappeared. Expect fix soon. Until then, stay at 44.1 :)

Do you want any testers for v2?

Hey Elcallio,
Will the next version support XP?
BTW we appreciate your hard work.I can't crash TX16Wx in Reaper but I'll do my best :hihi:.

PS.Are there any plans for time-stretching samples?

Well, as much as I'd like to drop XP, I'll probably keep supporting it. I've already done the work, so... Testing will be trickier, but why not.

I haven't really considered time stretching, myself I only use that for loops or other clips, and that is usually easier and more effective to just do directly in the DAW. Not sure what the use case is, apart maybe for playing chopped loops live?
In any case, I'll focus on UI and workflow improvement first, maybe a few audio features, but a better, resizable UI is prio one. As you might have noted from my blog, I'm currently rebuilding a famous UI lib for my own purposes. Progressing nicely btw.
Suggestions are always welcome, but in truth its been a bit quiet lately. I assume everyone is either satisfied or have moved on. :-)

I emailed you about a crash error I've discovered. Confirmed in Reaper as well. Sorry for the rambling. I actually crashed TX this way the first time I used it.

I just released 1.0.05, fixing the issue described. Thanks for the report.
To lazy to update the fixlist in the front of this thread. Looong thread...

There are always lurkers like me, who download, based on future needs,
but have yet to have time to seriously use your nice sampler. XP has been
stable enough for my limited needs, and usage with reaper. But if
'burnout' occurs doing multiple codebases, go the most futureproof route,
drop xp, and enjoy life 8)
I value the potential of learning to use a good sampler, more than the potential rigors and small $$$ cost of occasionally dealing with a win7 partition. :)

Hi there,
TX16W looks promising. I fiddled around a bit with it yesterday (v. 1.005 ??)and came across an issue in REAPER. I tried to drag and drop wav files from the REAPER media explorer as well as from windows (xp) explorer. The files never got to TX16W but created new tracks in REAPER. So drag and drop does actually not work for me. Loading a whole bunch of samples from the "load file menu" is really hard work. So, did I do something wrong or is this a real issue?

BTW I like the look of old hardware and I absolutely like the idea of real sampling in my daw -> grab a microphone and bang the pan....:D
