I see. Still, the actual design in all of these could be better. Having a smooth surface on a synth pot is not the best option. It's most likely cheaper to manufacture than a pot with a more textured design, so that may explain why Waldorf uses them.Ingonator wrote: There is no plastic, at least in the Blofeld which got metal knobs and a metal case and the Pulse 2 seems to have the same design.

Strange. This means that the problem is not a mechanical one it looks.suthnear wrote:Wish that fix worked, but it doesn't:

This is a little beyond my meagre soldering skills, unfortunately.
Hopefully, though, Waldorf have learned from this.
I mostly use a free editor software when programming my Blofeld from scratch so this could be one reason why i never got a problem like that:

I quite like the texture of the pots on the Blofeld...

Would have been really interesting if it had VCOs, but it probably just has DCOs, like Pulse. 3 oscillators is good. I'd like to hear it.

+1, seems like waste of real estate not having user friendly knobs to tweaktehlord wrote:I'm sure it'll sound great but GAH! why the Blofeld style UI?
I'd rather pay a little more money for more knobs!

Well, yes, a polyphonic mode. Using a single oscillator to get polyphony, like in old string machines.Acrobat wrote:thanks man, those explain the paraphonic mode, it's a CHORD function, actually. Great.Ingonator wrote:More articles about Pulse 2
