That's why I said in my opinion. Because for me I wouldn't be using it for 40 audio tracks with tons of plugins. I'd use it to do location recording, and import it back home on a desktop.

Yeah. And that's why this app is overkill already because most people would probably do it like that. No need for all those plugins as the final mix would be done somewhere else anyway.

That remains to be seen though. Remember, people have been doing a ton of tracks, with plugins, on computers for years. The iPad 2 at least has more processing power than computers did just a few short years ago, and is fully capable of working with this stuff. For example, the iPad 2 is faster computationally than a PowerBook 12" G4, and I did a lot of tracks on that, with plugins. Once the interfaces catch up, it's a viable setup for people having a tablet+desktop instead of a laptop.
