the UBBIK flanger has NO competition at all, but it's too expensive for one plug in when i don't like the others for my personal use. When UHE releases singles, i will have the flanger i need and will never need to look again.

just curious-can you tell me what UBBIK flanger can do and Melda flanger cannot?
/becouse I see UBBIK more as a limited version of Melda-not possible to draw my own waveforms,no modulation of modulators,no hi quality setting-only low...etc/
edit-now I ve found a small bug in second delay line only in tape mode of Melda flanger-strange that nobody reported it so far I think that this plugin must be overlooked by majority of people

it's the sound kvaca it has nothing to do with the mangling possibilities.

I was hinting to this before about the melda. very versatile but not as good "sound"

Try the uhbik if you want to experience the sound of a true analog flanger,

it is so warm it can give you goosebumps.

as for sound-Im trying it now-hmmmm,...yes it sounds a lot warmer than Melda...not as fat as my Univibe /hardware/ but not bad at all

but the interface...is very confusing for me Im used to see a RATE knob,becouse ALL hardware flangers I ever used got it,and also most digital flangers,...but not this Uhbik-instead it has VERY confusing Time knob...this is the first flanger on the planet I need to look at manual how to use it properly...becouse if I want to set rate 0,8 Hz like in Melda to get the same rate its totally impossible here...crazy thing its very hard to quickly AB compare it with melda becouse I still dont know how to set the same values in both /and in Wavelab/...god please help me

but if you want to obtain same original tape flanger like it was invented in 60s,you need analog sound PLUS the mangling possibilitie too,I think you know why /there was no VCA in the beginning-only fingers-so you need randomisers which are badly missing in Uhbik.../

one thing i gotta say, i love how only at KVR a virus phaser thread can be turned into a Melda flanger thread

PS you did put me onto something though, i realised i am able to do some pretty hard feedback with the melda phaser without any ear pain, which is more than i can say for many others..

it looks like i might get it...

BUT.....

With collaboration with a legendary dsp coder i will *probably* be releasing a line of plugins including what i call one of the nicest phasers around, in all formats, for Christmas time though, it's a long way away.

That was my first sneak hint lol.

but it's certainly not going to be the type you want.. i mean it will be all about the sounds, but these effects will be based on being cost effective, ease of use with MUSICAL results that sit well in a mix.

But not the extensive "options" of melda.

YESSSS -Metaflanger was the reason I have bought Waves gold many years ago /and also their Limiters and compressors off course... /

and Im pleased to hear that more and even better /soundwise/ modulation fx are on the way... /and dont forget to implement sinc-you should know I'm also pedantic about clean sound /

Ps bmanic sorry i forgot to add we really differ on airwindows stuff. firstly, i won't use them because even though they have NO gui at all so would be a very simple port to 64 bit, Chris refuses to do it. I don't BUY 32 bit plugins any more, i only use some i have that i won't part with. I support devs who are going with the times.

I also detest his complete lack of even the most basic metering.

His phaser would be a one slider thing knowing him..

the other problem is, and i have noticed many people are with me, many against me, i actually when i had a 32 bit system tested almost every plugin and did not like a single one of them SOUND wise.

He really builds his stuff up like the reverb to end all verbs, and i honestly think the verb is so bad is amongst the worst 5 of all time, for example.

Finally, his prices are high IMO.

lastly, overall, i just don't think i'd want to be a customer.

Ah indeed. I didn't actually know he doesn't do 64bit plugins. That's a bit silly.

Heh, it's funny to read through KVR for things like this and realize that it was December of 2011 that I put out 64-bit versions of everything that I had ever done including all the legacy plugins and freebies and old freebies, and January of 2012 that I made everything $50 across the board so while this was going on, I was secretly trying to port more than 100 plugins to 64-bit for free without saying so ahead of time, and then as this was posted everything was already 64-bit…

Well, because I did not even know that this thread exists and it came up recently I just wanna say thank you for such an awesome phaser. This one is my goto tool for creamy Hihats. I really dig the sound of it and it is so easy to use. Kudos!
