This is a hoax, right?
Although there's some internet chatter about it, all I see is one blog that mentions it and a photo that could be done in photoshop. Nothing on any official blogs or on the MOTU site....

Wrong time of the year for a hoax of this scale :P and MOTU do offer cross platform hardware (and software ) already so it is not so far fetched IMO. I would say it is about as much of a hoax as Bitwig Studio at this point. :)

Also, as of yet, there are no official press releases out for it. At least I haven't received one, and I receive all the MOTU releases. They are typically pretty fast with it. Plus, most companies tend to send their NAMM releases BEFORE NAMM so people can have them ready.

Not that I don't believe the rumor. I would be delighted to see DP on Windows as it's one more option for sound to picture(and a good one at that). But it does seem strange to only have one account of it so far. I wish I could have made it to NAMM this year, then I would go see for myself.

Given the amount of hints dropped by the main developers/vendors prior to NAMM etc, this would be a complete marketing fail if it's true.

(and their stuff all uses iLok IIRC so that's a bit of a deal-breaker for some...).

Very sceptical

Not a rumor.

Definitely not a rumour. It would have to be a terribly elaborate hoax. Someone on MOTU nation was at NAMM apparently and even spoke to MOTU at NAMM (or one of their demonstrators there) and got this info...

So it seems way too elaborate a hoax IMO but of course at some point MOTU will confirm or deny officially. Seems like it is indeed now a Windows app IMO. I think March is the proposed release time frame.

MOTU moving to Windows IMO makes sense. Too much competition not necessarily feature for feature with Logic but Apple and their very low pricing of Logic e.t.c. I guess MOTU needed to code a Windows version to sustain the development of DP in future.

Diminishing returns on MAC may be the key reason for a Windows version.

not really bait, as i've wanted to give him a piece of my mind for some time.

And i made it clear that i knew he was trolling.
But that is exactly what is desired

I really would prefer for this not to go down that road though because it's a very interesting topic and when the platform stuff starts........well......locks........possible bans........etc
