I like the beat (test 3-132.mp3) but the portamento/sliding cymbal at the end of every bar is a little too repetetive in my opinion. More the kind of thing I'd use to treat the listener to a special gimmick every 4 (8, 16...) bars.

thanks Bonteburg for the listen/comment. so maybe i can vary two things to keep the loops (relatively) fresh:

- cymbal gliss in or out
- second accented snare on the sixteenth or on the eight triplet
