Love it! Pushing a little more with strings and maybe some brass it transforms in a huge epic track!
But what about the other sounds?? That's the kind of electronic I really like
Lots of gated pad and basses?

Here is an E-mail I have just sent to Kirk Hunter, regarding playback bugs:
Hello Mr. Hunter. As you may recall, I mentioned a playback bug that seems to plague some or most of your products occasionally.
I finally was able to record some of the instances of this problem in the following video:
It seems to be widespread and random, because not all notes are affected. I'm afraid it might take a while to fix. Still, I'm glad that I'm able to bring the problem to your attention. Hopefully it can be remedied. From my understanding, the problem occurs most when using solo instruments with legatos and adagios. However, the problem is not limited to only this combination, and the instruments showcased in the video.
The pitch wheel's effects on sound were also tested, and apparently they also can result in the problem as well.
I hope you'll be able to fix this all as soon as possible. You have a beautiful bunch of sound libraries that deserve to be as close to perfection as they possibly can be.
Thank you for your time, and looking forward to your response.

Well I guess that all I can do is wait for a response.

Any chance that you recorded/created a MIDI file so that other users can verify that the issue is not just on your system? If Kirk can't recreate your issue it might give a some insight into what the problem is.synchronizer wrote:I finally was able to record some of the instances of this problem

First of all, I was gone for the last 4 days at NAMM.synchronizer wrote:Here is an E-mail I have just sent to Kirk Hunter, regarding playback bugs:

Ok, Romantic Violin issues:
It seems you're using the pitch wheel the wrong way. You need to play a note with the pitch wheel at 0, then raise it right before you play the next note if you want to slide UP to it, or lower the pitch wheel right before you play the next note to slide down to it.
Solo Bass:
I can't seem to get the problem to occur here no matter what I do. I've played the same note sequences you played in the video at all kinds of speeds, and can't get the result you're getting. I've heard that sometimes, hard drives can simply not stream a note if too much overhead is hit to them. Or it even could be a buffer setting in Kontakt? I do know that TVEC 3 can be a bit heavy on the cpu hit, but again, i just can't get the same issue you're having.

Hope you had fun at NAMM!:D
...great, I can't exactly go out and buy an internal laptop drive to replace my current one, or get another $4000 computer. Now I'm distraught. The problem in the video is very real for me, and I'm sure that there are at least one or two other people who are experiencing it. (Someone else did post about the problem as well.) Do you think it could be a Kontakt 5 problem? Probably not.
Sigh... I love the sounds of your instruments, but I can't use them if I get all of these problems
. The regular 1st violin works fine...
What can I do? I assure you that this problem does not effect the normal violins, so something strange is happening.
EDIT: As for the pitchbend, for me it only works if I raise it BEFORE hitting a note. Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

Can you make me a logic file (I use logic as well) or a midi file if you don't use logic, and send it to me. Make sure that the problem arises during the file. If the problem happens sometimes, but then not all the time, that's ok, I'll still test it by running it a lot.

No problem. You are probably right that it has to do with disk streaming (I have a 5400 rpm drive), but maybe there's a way to improve this. Hold on.

OMG, I would never use anything slower than 7200 RPM for streaming. I'm pretty sure this has got to be the problem. But still send me the midi file or logic file so I can be sure.synchronizer wrote:No problem. It's actually getting slightly hard to find the problem. It's kind of random. Well, if anyone can recommend a macbook pro hard drive--- 500 GB at least, best cache, and 7200 rpm...
So we don't go down the route of the external drive... I promise to lsiten to each and every suggestion. Well maybe PMs only if someone knows of something good.
The problem was that I didn't know the importance of 7200 rpm when I got the computer. I got the most GB... sigh I'm a fool sometimes. Anyway, this has to be rectified!
I'll make the midi file. It'll take a while, but I'll get the problem.
NOTE: It only seems to occur when playing SOLO instruments.
