I only saw that in Modern Compressor, and that was only when the gate was engaged.

All the others look just fine, at least they don't exhibit any weirder behaviour than all my other compressors.

Oh, one thing I found interesting was that the seventhsign was very aggressive, even with a ratio of 4:1.

As a baseline I tested a half-dozen from the v3.985 bundle and there was only the line rising to the right, nothing else. No noise, no other lines. Is this a non-issue then?

...a gate "close" the output when the input signal is under the threshold...now the default threshold on modern compressor is at about -85 dB...that "hole" is at about -85dB...1+1=2...
nothing is wrong with Antress compressor transfer curves...;-) :)

Could be. Not my area of expertise -- obviously. :)

What about the "noise" along the line? Only see that on a couple of the plugs...Modern Compressor and Seventh Sign.

...try with the gate in the fish fillets suite, Floorfish and look for yourself.. ;-)

...slight differences between left and right channels, like in all analog circuits...again, try with the compressor in the fish fillets suite, Blockfish... ;-)

ANTRESS! :)


I've been trying to contact you for a couple days, but as yet, no reply.

I need to report to you that recall of settings (on project load) is broken!
The strange thing is that if I open an instance, change some settings, save a .FXB file, start a new instance and LOAD that .FXB file, the settings load perfectly.

Strange also, is that in Samplitude, the automation values show up without numeric values.

Okay, so I've done some more testing and it appears that this is a Samplitude-specific bug and that it only occurs with SynthMaker plugins.

Further, it appears that parameters ARE correctly saved and loaded, but the GUI is not updated upon plugin load.


Antress, you can stop worrying about this as it appears to not be limited to your plugins.

Has anyone heard from Antress since this thread? It's a shame he walked away (if that's what indeed happened). His 4.95 plugs are actually very useful.

Sorry, I should have been less vague. Yes, I know that his plugs are still available. I was just wondering if he has made any appearances here or elsewhere since the 4.95 release or if he really did walk away from vst development?
