Because if we're really talking about what to do with these two chords, it's ambiguous just given that recording. That recording is yet to be a whole anything, it's just an idea.geroyannis wrote:I meant that it's pretty clear from the recording (and has already been discussed) that bass stays on B for both chords. Why should we talk about E, or any other note for that matter?
For me (being interested in the thing) the fun part is that there are the two angles to this in practice ANYWAY.
(why should we talk about E when one of the chords is E major? HMMMMMM...)
It can be quite rich what I'm indicating. In true modal usage, while there is one 'Sa', 'I', the real tonic, when you have another plateau, there are other aspects to the 'mode' which are revealed by another angle. HERE, it is ambiguous because no one is supplying an anchor. It's a sketch. You're certain about 'the bass'? WHAT BASS? I don't know, and this, right here, is my thing.
This is my area of interest. So just maybe I'm saying something. Apparently it isn't anything interesting to you.*
I don't think you get what I'm talking about, have contributed little yourself to this discussion *but this you took the time to do?
