I've got lots of samples on some old H/D & D/D floppy discs.
i've got two computers with no floppy drives but still got an old PIII with a drive. But wondered if there's any software (preferably free) that can translate the akai jargon to .wav for me.

Yep, it's called AkaiDisc.
Not too sure where to get it from though...It's free so if you have a problem finding it PM me and maybe I can send it to you via e-mail.
It's quite slow but it does the job of reading Akai Floppy Discs and converting the sounds to Wav!
